My aunt planned a delightful bridal luncheon here. We had a whole room to ourselves, which was plenty of room for my bridesmaids and a few others (a large group). Everyone got to choose from several options, all of which were delicious. Cute location to have a wedding day brunch located in Biltmore Village.
Make sure you have a GOOD estimate of how many people you have coming because you cannot return anything, even if cases are unopened.
Fairly easy to set up. The store I went to wanted me to register for everything in one day which seemed ridiculous to me. I ended up coming back and adding/deleting some stuff. The registry people were very helpful. Their return policy is pretty good except I'd always heard you could bring stuff back for cash, which I know sounds tacky but I registered for 12 place settings and got 15, so it would have been nice to get the cash back since we were done with all our purchases. If you don't have a gift receipt or packing slip, you will just get a store credit on a receipt slip, no card. Although today I went to return something and they said they would give cash IF the people have the receipt and yell/scream. :)
I probably should have not registered here because not many people bought stuff off my registry. Of what was purchased, I'd received duplicates and even though at the time I did not have a receipt, they let me have store credit for the items. However, I got one gift that was definitely from Target but not on our registry but because it was over $35, they would not give me anything (Store credit, etc.), so I am stuck with it.
Mary was super sweet and easy to work with. I ended up having a few issues last minute with the dress and she easily accomodated me. She also did some major fix up repair on my Mother in Law's dress at the very last minute.
Definitely the best bridal registry. The girl I worked with spent a lot of time with me, answered all my questions, and was really easy to work with. She had also gotten married so she was familiar with all their policies etc. Their return policy is super no-hassle. I'm not positive that all the gifts I received were actually from Belk but if they carried the line, they took it back (the really bad awful gifts that you see on a "wedding display" that we'd never use). You only get store credit of course but its better than nothing. Another plus about Belk is that they give you full store credit for the item vs. Bed, Bath & Beyond. For example if someone bought something at BB&B and used a 20% coupon, you will only receive back what they paid. But at Belk, if they use a coupon, you get the full amount
We went to Sandals Ochos Rios. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was really the only disappointment. The grounds were beautiful and the staff, for the most part was nice. Service was actually quite good, considering we were in a Carribean country and tips were not included!
It sure was an easy set up with them but boy did they get the orders wrong. Luckily, they were easy to fix. All of my groomsmen, with the exception of my dad were supposed to pick up their tuxes in Asheville, but several stores sent the tuxes to the store they got measured in. This could have ended up being a disaster. Also, despite the measurings, several of the guys had to be tailored because of too long/too short sleeves, etc. They were able to accomodate us so I guess it wasn't total loss. But it seemed to me that each location was vieing for the business instead of concentrating on our order.
I would have given TBS 5 stars but I was disappointed with the design of both my rehearsal dinner and wedding cake. She did not follow my requests based on my emails and our in person conversation, which was a little disappointing. They did taste good though.
