Worked out last minute when it rained the day of our wedding!
The facility is brand new and very nice. The front desk night clerk gal was excellent. However, the hotel manager and sales managers have no customer service skills. I booked a block of rooms for my wedding, and one week before the wedding they called & said that not enough people had booked and they were raising the price $60 per room. What a nightmare the week before the wedding. The contract didn't state that anywhere, so they had to honor the original $99 per night price. Our key to our room didn't work no matter how many times the clerk tried, so they ended up giving us another $20 off our room.
Kathy was great. We used silk flowers since our wedding was out of state. She made my bridal bouquet for only $40. She made almost no money off of me, but was so friendly and wanted to make my day special for me. She also went out of her way, calling a lot of places to find the specific purple anemones that I wanted to use.
We had a good experience with Mens Warehouse. We did their rent 5 tuxedos, get a free suit offer. Also, a month after we booked with them, we got a coupon in the mail for a free plane ticket. I called their customer service & they honored it even though we had already booked our tuxedo rentals with them. Good customer service.
They are kind of pricey, and pushy to get you to register for china and expensive pots & pans sets
I had my hair and makeup trials and wedding do's done here. Very talented, a little pricey. Our photographer mentioned how the open layout that they have is better for pictures.
James is great!! Highly recommended. Very talented. He does a lot to personalize your wedding, and spends the WHOLE day with you. He got our pictures back to us in about 2 weeks too.
The phone number listed on their website and on google, yellow pages, etc belongs to a DIFFERENT florist. Poor guy keeps having people call him. Takes awhile for them to email you back too. But the flowers were very pretty. I ordered the orchids, and found out later that I could have ordered them from 1800flowers.com for the same price.
We had Andy. He was a good DJ and did a great job at keeping the music he played in line with what we requested. Curt, the owner, has several DJ's that he has working for him, and will work with you to try to get someone to match your personality and what you are looking for.
Gorgeous Gorgeous location. Best view for the money. A little bit out of town, but well worth the drive. Mike, the manager, is short & to the point, but you won't be disappointed if you choose this place for your reception, or for your wedding as well. The room is all glass windows overlooking Gull Lake. Delicious food, and it was actually the best price on food we found, all inclusive.
