My hair was done by Tara and was exactly what I wanted. I gave her a simple description of what I wanted (no pictures) and she did it perfectly! The other girls all had their hair done there as well and looked fantastic. I also had my nails done there the day before and they were good enough to do some touch ups the day of.
D'Arcy is great. For a small extra fee she will come to your house or hotel room and do your make up, or you can go to her house for no extra charge. I had her come to the house and she did my makeup and my MOH's makeup. It lasted all day and looked great. Best part is that I didn't break out the next day.
We rented a card box and table cloths from here. Nothing wrong with the card box. Some of the table cloths had stains on them and a few had beige patches on white cloths. We weren't overly impressed with the table cloths. For the most part there was one side that was good enough. We also bought a few decorations that were great and way cheaper than the other stores.
We rented a cake stand here. It looks great although our cake baker did say that it was quite wobbly and made it difficult for her to set up our cake.
We took 3 group two-step lessons and 2 private waltz lessons. We both feel a lot more comfortable getting out on the dance floor now. The classes move quickly but if you're having trouble they'll work with you on it. I wish we had done another private class to solidify our waltz a bit more, the turns can be tricky!
I had great service here. I didn't see the dress I chose at any of the other bridal stores in Saskatoon. I wish I had gone for a 2nd fitting because I think my dress could have fit slightly better, but I simply didn't have time since we had a short engagement.
Kind of a pain in the butt. The tuxes were very nice and it was convenient that there are so many locations since the groomsmen live in different cities. We didn't get our "5th tux free" until after the wedding and after a few discussions at which point we were reimbursed.
Mandy is great to work with. She did our engagement photos and wedding photos. She's out of North Battleford and is well worth it. Reasonably priced, beautiful pictures.
My MOH started a photography business. She's based out of Estevan and comes to Saskatoon quite often. We had an engagement session with her and the pictures turned out great and she just keeps getting better in the time since.
We LOVED our cake! We had so many compliments on it, both on how it looked and how it tasted. We had Ashley make 2 cakes for us and decorate a 3rd made by a relative. The 2 cakes Ashley made were SOOOO delicious. Worth every penny!
