By far, the worst part of my wedding was the ceremony. We paid a lot of money for the biggest package from this vendor. They offered unlimited vows to choose from, a rehearsal, keepsake vows and help with the paperwork.
#1 The vows we were sent seemed to be the same ones I was finding myself on various websites. In the end, we wrote our own by combining several found online.
#2 The rehearsal. The only part of the experience with this vendor that was good. However, the officiant didn't perform the rehearsal, it was his wife.
#3 Having these people file the paperwork for us was a complete waste of time and money. I had no idea how easy this was. All you do is mail in a piece of paper that you need to have signed. I could have easily done this myself. The officiant made a mistake filling out the form and 3 months later, I still don't have a certificate of marriage.
#4 The ceremony could not have been worse. The officiant didn't seem to have ever read my vows before. He also read them like an 8 year old reading in front of the class. He stopped at the end of each line, paused, and began reading again. The sentiment was completely lost. I didn't hear what he was saying because all I could think was, "I hope it's over soon". I've tried very hard to not think about it since the day.
The keepsake vows were just the vows I wrote printed on some fancy paper, likely picked up at the local office supply store.
I could not have been any more displeased with these people. I feel completely ripped off and my wedding ceremony was embarrassing.
The food was good, the setup on time. There were issues with this vendor, but nothing too bad. They didn't provide the correct pasta that I ordered, that was the one thing I was looking forward to eating. I paid for a bar and bartender to serve the beer that we provided. There was no bartender, so our bar sat empty all night and the custom coasters we had made were a bit of a waste. They didn't do a great job, visually, on the buffet either. By the time we ate, the linens were sagging all over the place. This was especially noticeable as I am an event art director. The servers however were great. They did a wonderful job cleaning up the place after the wedding. The buffet was supposed to be double-sided. I didn't want my guests waiting around to get their food. In the end, that's exactly what happened. It seemed to be set properly, but not served right. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this vendor. They were the only thing that wasn't perfect.
Very nice to work with, did exactly as I wanted. Boquets were delivered in clear vases which was very handy.
Our cake was absolutely delicious, on time and as we ordered it. Not especially friendly vendor, but did the job very well.
