Sally is a fantastic photographer. She is so talented and creative. I really enjoyed having Sally and her team (Anna Weaver) take photos of our big day. I would HIGHLY recommend both of these ladies.
This was the best money we spent for the wedding (besides the photographers). Brooks and his team were very professional and were able to capture all of our special moments on our wedding day. They created the most beautiful wedding video that captured all of our special moments as well as captured the very "Charleston" aspects of our wedding. They did such a fantastic job with the video that it made me feel exactly the way I did on our wedding day! If you have room in your wedding budget, hire Palmetto Coast Media, you won't regret it. Even if you don't have budget, cut something else and hire them!
Ricky Compton was a friend of the groom. He was a fantastic DJ. Played the music we wanted and kept the evening running smoothly by announcing every event (first dance, cake cutting, toasts etc)
Duvall did a great job of working with our budget. They also allowed us to provide the alcohol for the bar. It was unfortunate to learn that they did not use fresh local seafood for their catering; however, they did allow us to provide fresh local shrimp for the shrimp and grits. The food was wonderful although the only time we ate it was at the taste testing because we were so busy at the reception. Duvall did provide a bag of food from the reception to us to take after the reception back to the hotel. It was nice, but the food was not warm and it was late so we did not end up eating it.
We searched for a simple inexpensive cake. Publix was the best choice we could have made. We had more than enough cake and it was resonably priced. They did a fantastic job of decorating the cake and making it exactly how I'd imagined. They also delivered it to our reception venue for us so that was one less thing we had to pick up!
Duvall allowed us to provide as many items to them for decorating the reception space. They also made sure the reception flowed smoothly and we stayed on time with all of the activities. Shannon made sure to coordinate with all of my other vendors the week/day of the wedding so I would not have to worry about it. She worked with me to come up with the decorating ideas for the reception space.
Shannon at the Duvall team designed all of our ceremony and reception florals. They were beautiful. They found the exact flowers that I wanted and some I had no idea we could use! Our inspiration for designing the reception was southern hospitality which including wrought iron pineapples. Shannon was able to use fresh baby pineapples as part of the reception centerpieces and they were beautiful! We priced around at several other local florists and their prices were higher than Duvall.
We had a 16-passenger carriage transport the wedding party from the church to the reception venue. This was one of the best choices we made. The carriage was on time and ready to take us when we were finished with photographs. They were patient as we took our time getting photos on the carriage. It was also a very nice way for the bridal party to celebrate together before arriving at the reception. Having a nice little tour of beautiful downtown Charleston made it even more special! I would HIGHLY recommend Olde Towne Carriage, their prices are much lower than other carriage companies.
