I first went to Lisa because the dress of my dreams only came in a cream colour, and I wanted white. She was able to take the pictures of 'my' dress, and turn it into something personal for me. The whole process was fantastic, and Lisa is such a talented woman! My dress looked great all night (apart from people stepping on the train so the bustle came out.. but that's just the way it goes) and it felt great knowing that dress was made for me (and made in Canada - love to support local vendors!)
From the moment we met James in his studio, we knew he was a perfect fit for us. He was slightly over our budget, so we had to think about it, but in the end, we decided we wanted the best photographer we could get. James did not disappoint. In fact, I wish I could give him more stars, because he just went so above and beyond for us. He set up a photo booth during the reception, and even brought a 2nd shooter! Our engagement photo's are incredible, I never knew we could look so good! James arrived in the morning to take a couple shots of the girls getting ready (and his assistant went to visit the boys), and they didn't leave the reception until after the party was over. Almost everyone we talked to at the wedding made a comment about how great he was. He was even on the dance floor dancing away with us, making sure he was always there to get some good/funny/crazy shots. Really looking forward to seeing what he comes back with! [edited to add] changed our rating to a 3/5 stars, because it's now 5 months after the wedding, and we still don't have our photos. Terrible post wedding service.
Dynasty Limousine & our driver Keith were fantastic. We had a limo bus (30 seat) for the whole day, and it was definitely worth it to us! We shuttled guests from the hotel to the reception, and back again at the end of the night. Keith was a great driver, and was good at keeping us on schedule, without being intrusive. The Bus was extremely clean, and the champagne was cold. I had red carpet service, and Keith was always there to help me in and out of the limo. Dynasty was also a pleasure to deal with leading up to the wedding, very accommodating! I will recommend Dynasty Limo to everyone needing limo service. Top Notch!
Judy was fantastic, we met with her once, and she was quick to tell us if something we said we wanted wouldn't look good. We really trusted her (after all, she's the professional here!) and she amazed us with how everything turned out. My bouquet is still looking as fresh as the first day (and this is 5 days later!), and the flowers really tied the room together. We had a small flower budget, but when we walked into the hall, everything looked lush and beautiful. I was even able to get tulips in my bouquet, which meant a lot to me.
Right from the beginning, Josh was extremely thorough, giving us a planning booklet to work through. It gave him all the information he needed, plus it gave him the chance to get to know us as a couple. We met with him a couple times to go over details, which was really great. We got the chance to see him in action for our Buck & Doe, and it was then that he confirmed our feelings that we were going to have one incredible party. He is great at reading the crowd, and really getting a good flow to the night. Our dance floor was always packed, and a lot of our guests made comments about how good the DJ was. He even took the time to visit each table and get some requests. Could not have found anyone better.
Originally we weren't sure if we even wanted a cake, so we had a really small budget for that. After talking with Lynne, she made our vision come to life, and within our budget! The Chocolate Banana cake was incredible, and because we served it the next day, some people even had seconds (when does that happen with wedding cake?!!) Booking our cake with Let Them Eat Cakes was one of the best decisions we made.
