Annabelle has such an amazing eye when she has that camera in her hand. She is really personable and we felt so incredibly comfortable with her. She could read our body language and "knew" when we were done with pictures and needed a break. She did our engagement and wedding pictures- and I totally recommend using the same photographer so you can both adjust to each other. Annabelle can find these gorgeous locations you'd never have noticed. Her pictures are truly timeless. We actually fell in love with her at another wedding because we noticed how she got 9 groomsmen completely in check with jokes and a smile- and during the ceremony and reception it's like you don't even notice her. The incessant clicking of the camera is silent and it's not like your typical obnoxious wedding photographer. Highly recommend!
Our guests compared our buffet food to meals they've had at 5 star hotel wedding venues. Erin with Mindy's catering was phenomenal. We had a very specific theme with our wedding menu and it had the potential to be under whelming if not for Mindy's. They had people talking about our food all night and 3 weeks later! Their day of staff is so professional yet still fun. There was someone "assigned" to my husband and I to make sure we ate. We ran out of beer and some wines twice- and they took care of it. They went 2 separate times on beer runs for our wedding guests- amazing. When we were running low on what my husband was drinking they quietly set aside a "groom stash" just for him. Pricing was very fair- it is a DC wedding so it's not going to be 30 a head. But they take care of everything- chairs, linen, barware, everything. Erin is great to work with and really helps make your vision a reality.
We used pie sisters to do "cuppie cakes" for our wedding guests instead of traditional wedding cake. For our outdoor, southern theme it went perfect. The company is really easy to work with. We had a tasting which was amazing. We had 4 flavors: pecan, apple, key lime, and cherry. We were able to have some boxed for guests who wanted to take theirs with them- and others were put out. They coordinate with you to put little touches on the tops- we had little "T"s for our new last name- super cute! They give a 15% discount for catering orders- 120 pies ran us about 450 with delivery. Worth it.
