We didn't have a wedding planner, but Melina is the director of catering at the little nell and worked with us from the beginning to plan our wedding events, menus, etc. She was the best!
We used Michael Jude & John Michel of Great Divide Band for our ceremony & reception music. We heard these guys playing a gig in town and asked if they would play at our wedding. We wanted more of an acoustic, chill live music feel that guests of all ages would enjoy and we got nothing by rave reviews from all of our guests. These guys play backup & tour with Hall & Oates and play everything from Van Morrison to Elvis Costello and learned some specific songs we requested. And genuinely great guys, lots of fun, highly recommend!
Elissa was great to work with and her cupcakes were to die for and reasonably priced. We ordered the mini cupcakes in Chocolate Praline, Carrot Cake, Berries & Cream and all were excellent. The cake was moist and frosting was creamy and delicious. I'm sure the cakes are awesome. You won't be disappointed!
I never met with these guys in person, so was a little nervous at how it would turn out after just a few phone calls. I emailed lots of pictures of the look I was going for and not knowing much about flowers left it up to them and they did a great job and worked with my budget. At times, I wished they were a bit more responsive, but it all came together beautifully in the end with no issues whatsoever.
Jonathan was amazing and so much fun to work with! We met him the day before our wedding to take some shots around town and he is so creative and made us feel really comfortable. Even with the travel fee to come in from Salt Lake, his prices were better than many of the local photogs. He shoots with film vs digital, but we love that look. Heather Goad from Salon Tullio did my hair and makeup and I was very happy with both. She was great to work with and came to the hotel which was nice and convenient. I liked having one person do both and felt she was equally talented at both hair and makeup. Highly recommend Heather or any of the stylists at Salon Tullio.
The Little Nell does the catering for the Aspen Mountain Club where we had our reception. I'm a total foodie and didn't want bland boring wedding food. We spent a lot of time deciding on the menu and everything was simply amazing... exceeding ALL my expectations and our guests all said it was the best wedding food. They use lots of local, seasonal, fresh ingredients, and worked with specific food & drink requests to create options that weren't on the standard menu. They were also great and giving thoughtful recommendations given our tastes on what would work well which I really appreciated. The lamb, trout, & sweet pea ricotta ravioli were our entrees and got rave reviews.
We also had our rehearsal dinner in the Terrace Room at the Little Nell which was perfect. We wanted a Southwest feel so the chef did the most amazing Southwest-themed stations with passed margaritas that was exactly what we wanted.
