Carrie Johnson Bridal & Prom

I love, love, LOVE my wedding dress. It was off the rack for $650 but it looked like it was $5000. The whole thing was lace and beads. Carrie stocks mostly off-the-rack dresses in all sizes, so it is easy to find a beautiful dress at a seemingly impossible price. It is a bit far (Saint Cloud). I got stuck in rush hour driving there and I called in a panic. Carrie kept the store open an extra hour for me to try on dresses. The service was amazing.

Heartstrings Bridal

I got bridesmaids dresses at Heartstrings and it was NOT a good experience. The employees did not provide me with a time-line for ordering the dresses or explain what the next steps for my bridesmaids were. I thought that I would be okay putting the order in six weeks before the wedding, but I was very wrong. It turns out they need to be ordered at least 3 months out. Thank goodness I called the day I did because we put the order in exactly 7 weeks out and we just barely got the dresses a week before the wedding. They were all way too big which meant alterations were needed. One of my bridesmaids was not able to get her dress until the morning of the wedding and it was still a bit too big and kept sliding down all night. I did not receive one phone call from the bridal shop during the whole process to let me know what to do or when to order, or check on the status. I could have easily bought dresses from a department store or ordered them online. I went with the more expensive bridal shop thinking I would receive a higher level of service (like a proactive phone call, or instructions on what to do after I decided on the dress). I should have ordered from Nordstrom, the customer service is 100xs better than Heartstrings.

Mark was awesome. He met with us to learn our style and music preferences. He kept everyone dancing and engaged, but was not obnoxious. It made for an amazing party!

The Country Cake Cupboard

YUM! This cake was awesome, we went with White Almond Cake with Raspberry filling and buttercream. It was amazing cake (and I am picky). It was a little pricey for our budget, so we served this cake to the head table and we ordered sheet cakes from Sam's Club for the rest of the guests.

Lori is awesome- hands down least expensive ceiling draping/chair covers. I checked everywhere and couldn't find a lower price. She doesn't have a website, but her phone number is (952) 250.7537

Brides of France

I got my birdcage veil at Bride's of France. Not only did they take the time to explain how to wear them, but they actually took pictures for me to bring to my hair stylist. This was awesome, because it is easy to do birdcage veils wrong.

SERENDIPITY

Going with Serendipity was hands down, the best decision I made for my wedding. It rained all day and if I would have used a different photographer, I probably would have been in tears, but they did such an amazing job I am actually glad it rained! All of our photos look like they should be in a wedding magazine.

Other than saying "Yes", the tux process was probably the easiest thing about our wedding. The appointment was quick and painless, they answered all my questions and we were in and out in an hour. They even had a website that we could track which groomsmen had been in for measurements. The guys looked awesome and the whole process went very smoothly.
