We are generally pleased with our decision to hire Upscale Event Planning to handle day-of coordination of our wedding. They did a good job of juggling our vendors and keeping us on schedule. A few instructions with respect to decorations could have been better followed.
Bridal Chateau’s staff is a true pleasure to work with. The bust line in both of my dresses could have fit better, but all in all, they did a good job. They were very responsive to my requests and even made a custom veil to match my silver-colored gown.
We are very disappointed with our pictures, and this is huge because it is the one thing you have that lasts beyond the day itself.
Our explicit instructions to take certain pictures were blatantly ignored. For example, I rented the Botanical Gardens and purchased paper parasols for each of my female attendants because I wanted to replicate some pictures I have seen of female attendants carrying parasols in gardens. I brought out the parasols and told the photographer I wanted to use them, explained the type of pictures I wanted, and he told me he didn’t want pictures of us in the sun and told his assistant to put the parasols away.
We expressly requested a more photojournalistic and modern approach and told the photographer we do not like posed, traditional formals. ALL of our pictures of the wedding party are posed, traditional, formal – exactly what we told the photographer we did not want.
Many of the pictures demonstrate poor composition. For instance, pictures of us playing checkers – the ONLY fun shots the photographer took – are ruined by a leaf very obviously and rather completely obscuring my husband’s face in every shot.
Also, one of the first things I noticed when I walked into our reception was a black (our colors being pastels, this really stood out) Expressions business card on every place setting. My husband and I spent 2 years planning our wedding to be a classy, upscale affair, and the last thing we wanted was for it to look like a trade show.
I am devastated that we spent so much money on this photographer, and the few good pictures we have of our wedding are amateur photos that were actually taken by our dove handler. I would not recommend this photographer to anyone.
I really LOVED my bouquet. Julie was a pleasure to work with, and when the supplier delivered the wrong flowers, she called me to talk about what flowers she could use in place of my original request. I told her to use her discretion, and she produced the most stunning arrangement which looked like it belonged that way all along. The only down side is that my bouquet quickly wilted and did not make it through pictures without loosing some of the roses, which just fell off. The same type of thing started to happen with the boutonnières which were spent by the time the reception hit. I also requested an altar arrangement, which I did not notice on the day of the wedding. I called the day after the wedding and left a message asking for confirmation that it was prepared and delivered, and my call was never returned. I did see the arrangement in our photos later, but a return call to address my question would have still been appreciated.
I highly recommend Signature Entertainment. Mike Setlock was a true pleasure to work with. We really appreciated the availability of online payments which could be made at any time. We did request more Latin music, which was not played, but Mike did keep our guests entertained and on the dance floor all evening.
Zoladz provided good limo service with a courteous and prompt driver. The limo was clean and the model that we ordered.
