We are very disappointed with our pictures, and this is huge because it is the one thing you have that lasts beyond the day itself.

Our explicit instructions to take certain pictures were blatantly ignored. For example, I rented the Botanical Gardens and purchased paper parasols for each of my female attendants because I wanted to replicate some pictures I have seen of female attendants carrying parasols in gardens. I brought out the parasols and told the photographer I wanted to use them, explained the type of pictures I wanted, and he told me he didn’t want pictures of us in the sun and told his assistant to put the parasols away.

We expressly requested a more photojournalistic and modern approach and told the photographer we do not like posed, traditional formals. ALL of our pictures of the wedding party are posed, traditional, formal – exactly what we told the photographer we did not want.

Many of the pictures demonstrate poor composition. For instance, pictures of us playing checkers – the ONLY fun shots the photographer took – are ruined by a leaf very obviously and rather completely obscuring my husband’s face in every shot.

Also, one of the first things I noticed when I walked into our reception was a black (our colors being pastels, this really stood out) Expressions business card on every place setting. My husband and I spent 2 years planning our wedding to be a classy, upscale affair, and the last thing we wanted was for it to look like a trade show.

I am devastated that we spent so much money on this photographer, and the few good pictures we have of our wedding are amateur photos that were actually taken by our dove handler. I would not recommend this photographer to anyone.
