Jacqueline Becker is an incredible photographer. She was my first choice, but she was also my Maid of Honor, so she couldn't take the job. She has a bachelor's degree in photography from CCS in Detroit, and worked as a wedding photographer for several years in New York City, before deciding to return to her home town in Lufkin, Texas where she has started her very own company. I cannot say enough about Phil Parr and his musicians. Every guest had such a great time with this band playing live! They had the perfect mix of old school country and country-rock. Phil has an eerie resemblance in voice to Willie Nelson, he is an incredible guitar player and his band members were SUCH GREAT musicians. They were also incredibly patient with us. We initially had them set up outdoors for an outside party, but then we were hit with a thunderstorm! The band got soaked and all of the groomsmen and their friends ran down and helped the band reload into our loft space, where we had dinner. They re-set up and, once they got started, really rocked the house! We haven't all danced so much in our entire lives!!! Thanks guys! Ya'll ended our wedding on such a sweet note!
Anna Watts and her string quartet were a breathtaking accent to my outdoor wedding ceremony. They did an incredible job providing the perfect music for our ceremony. Please call these ladies if you ever need live strings. they were fantastic.
Amanda Rex at Main Event was such an incredible help.Main Event got us our sites, set up all of the details, i.e., from tables to linens, to serve ware, she was on top of my entire wedding and made sure everything went smoothly. We liked her so much, we hired her to coordinate the entire event the day of (and we happily paid extra for even more of her help!) She got everything set up and executed to perfection. It was definitely worth the extra money to have her there the day of my event, making sure everything we rented from Main Event got placed exactly where it belongs, and the event itself went off without a hitch! Main Event is the greatest!!!
Leigh Ann was the most FABULOUS makeup artist I have ever met! (and I have met a lot!) If you want to look gorgeous on your wedding, please call this woman! She is worth every penny. She also did all of my bridesmaids, my mother, and hair for the little girls. She is so calm and soothing for such an angst ridden day. I think the major reason I was as calm as I was... was because of Leigh Ann and her awesome personality! She is sweet as well as gifted! You will never find a better makeup artist as wonderful, professional and qualified as this woman! I was highly, highly pleased.
Abdi is an amazing photographer. I flew him in from New York city,where he is based specifically to shoot my wedding. My first photographer choice was unfortunately but fortunately, my Maid of Honor... so I had to use Plan B, which was 3 photographers.com! Abdi and his team have many different packages to choice from pricing wise. Their average price is about $3500 and will charge for travel as well... but remember... all we have at the end are our photos, so I highly suggest someone of Abdi's talent and ability! Sharon did a spectacular job with my baby cake and cupcakes. Every single one of them was eaten. All of our guests were raving about the delicious cupcakes! I highly recommend this bakery's work!
