Don Davis Photography received great reviews by the guests of our wedding as well as the Bride and Groom. The guests were so impressed with Don's work. He did a great job and allowed our family and friends to take pictures over his back. We saw Don's products at a Bridal Show and fell in love with some of the unique touches he puts onto photo's. Don was down to earth and was great to work with!! As the Bride and Groom, we did not want to worry about how professional our vendors were and Don made us value our choice in him. We would recommend Don to anyone who would like great photo's taken at their wedding as well as having a unique spin added to their pictures!!
Mary Baer-Sucich is the Catering Manager at the Windsor Heights Hyvee and is the contact person for the meal we had catered. We were worried about the timing of the food and the presentation of the food at first (could HyVee really beat out the expensive catering places we asked ourselves?!?). We were amazed by how the food looked and tasted. Our guests loved the food and we had several guests go back for seconds. We ordered the two meat buffet (chicken and stuffed pork chops are what we ordered) and even were able to take some of the food home for lunch the next day. We were so happy with HyVee's Catering Department. Mary was awesome to work with and one could tell that she enjoys her job. Mary actually came to our wedding reception to ensure that everything was properly taken care of. Mary made sure we didn't have to worry about the food part of our wedding!!
Lola Lovejoy is just the nicest person. She truly cares about her customers and is just a lovely lady. Our cake was at the higher end of our cake budget but it was SO worth the money. There were people at the wedding who had four pieces of cake. There were not many extra pieces of cake to be found after our reception. The cake looked excellent and was set up exactly how we asked. Lola takes pride in her cakes and it sure showed. Lovejoy's Cakes has to be one of the best in the Des Moines area!!
