Bistro-toGo

These guys were probably one of my best wedding vendors! Not only was the food phenomenal, but the service and flexibility was excellent as well! I had a very different wedding day in that I needed food for a luncheon, a few dishes for the reception as well as service for both. Joe was absolutely amazing in accommodating everything that I needed. As the wedding started to near, there were some serious glitches with the venue where we had the wedding and reception. I mentioned these things to Joe, and he handled the entire situation in providing us with everything that we needed that day with patience and ease. He really did save the day! Not only did they provide excellent service, but we had rave reviews about the food from all of our guests! Nikki, the chef was also very accommodating in creating a menu for us that we envisioned but helped us with creative ideas of how to stay within our price range. She was wonderful to work with as well! I would recommend Bistro-to-Go for any kind of event you are having that would need to be catered! :)

Michelle Natto

The woman who did my hair and make-up was Michelle Natto, she works at Charise's Salon which is in the South Hills in Bethel Park/ Pittsburgh area. Because my wedding really was somewhat of an all day affair, I needed to have my hair and make-up done twice. When I initially was talking to Michelle about her availability and what not, she was very compromising and sincere. Before I even formally booked her, she went out of her way to find someone that would be able to do my hair and make-up for the reception because she had a prior engagement. I thought this spoke a lot about her character as a person. When I went to the salon for my trial run, she was incredibly knowledgeable about my religion and customs which put me at ease. The morning of my wedding was a little chaotic and hectic to say the least with my sister and mom at high stress levels, and Michelle really was a breath of fresh air. She was not only extremely efficient with her timing in getting us all ready, but she was very calm and cool....she made it really easy for me that day. And I got tons of compliments on how great my hair and make-up looked all day!

Joanna was an absolute pleasure to work with! From the instant we met her, we felt really comfortable with her. We haven't gotten back any pictures or an album yet, so I can't comment on those, but check out her website and you will know what I am talking about! She made it really easy for me to relax and enjoy the day with her, which was really important being that she was with us the entire day. I honestly don't even remember seeing her taking pictures during the ceremony or reception, so I am excited to see what our pictures look like! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone!

Let me start by saying that this site is absolutely beautiful...very scenic, outdoorsy, with lots of windows. This place can really transform into whatever you want it to be. The downside is dealing with the woman who owns and runs this facility. There were so many issues and conflicts with this woman, that I don't want to mention them all here...I will just name the biggest ones. (Although I am more than happy to discuss this with anyone who is interested so they don't make the same mistakes that we did!) First of all, we were not able to sign the contract when we gave the deposit because she supposedly "needed more information about our vendors." When we finally received the contract (which was about 1 month prior to wedding), there was hidden fees and charges throughout the entire thing, none of which were discussed prior to this. And, not one piece of information that was supposedly needed about the vendors was in the contract. When I tried discussing the situation with the owner Virginia, she demanded that we give her the balance due along with the signed contract otherwise threatened to give away the facility on the day of our event. My husband and I felt that we were manipulated and pushed into a contract with hidden fees and charges all over it. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, she was incredibly difficult to deal with primarily because of her poor customer service, ridiculous demands, inability to compromise, and her rude behavior (to not just myself, but my vendors and family as well). If you are considering this place, it is gorgeous...but know what you are going to have to deal with throughout the entire process. Although the multitude of wonderful comments we received about the facility were endless, I honestly regret having my wedding here purely because of this owner. She was incredibly difficult to reach, and just made every little thing so much harder than it needed to be, even on the day of the wedding. If you decide to have your wedding here, my advice is this: sign the contract when you give your deposit! If she gives you excuses, go elsewhere because she is going to try to pull the same thing on you that she did with us. I realized that what makes the wedding is not the place, but the family and friends that come with love and warm wishes. The other venue that we were contemplating with this ambiance that was just as beautiful as this place, was not only cheaper, but also the people there were so much nicer and accommodating was The Atrium on New Castle Rd in Prospect PA. Don't make the same mistake we did...hope this helps!!! :)
