Icing on the cake

DELICIOUS! We had one of their chocolate cakes and it was wonderful. One of the best (if not the best) wedding cake i've had). The only thing is that the flowers were put on at the reception site by our coordinator or the florist (not really sure who did it) and we should have specified how we wanted them arrranged.

She was really great & very flexible with the ceremony. We got to choose all of the readings and created the ceremony to reflect us. She replied promptly and personally to all emails and agreed to meet with us on Kauai before the wedding.

Our photos were beautiful. But we should have made a list of pictures that we wanted (especially group ones after the ceremony) as he is definitely not the type of photographer that is loud and corrals guests (which is nice as his presence as very non-invasive). But, we did forget about some pics that we wanted with the excitement of the day.

Hmm...This vendor was very flexible with getting all of the girls in on the wedding day for nails but it was quite pricey. We brought in a lot of business with 12 guests doing repolishes or manicures and then a few hair styles and a cut. After all of this, my 4 year old niece wanted polish on her nails & we were charged $40 for it! I thought that the 2 minute (maximum!) polish job could have been done for free with all of the others paying high prices for nails. To top it off, my sister & my niece's polish peeled nearly completely off by the next afternoon! That was $80 worth of polishes that did not even last 24 hours!

We bought all of our alcohol here & they were great. We returned unopened bottles with no hassles. Also, we corresponded via email leading up to the event. We also ordered leis for our guests from CostCo & they were beautiful and a great savings on the photographer's lei prices. I picked them up the day before & just refrigerated them & then held up beautifully. We saved a lot of money using CostCo - the open bar option with the venue would have cost us nearly $2000 more.
