Not your typical wedding venue, but when we first visited, we fell in love. It's an outdoor music festival venue and campground just outside of Albert Lea. For a reasonable price we got the ENTIRE park to ourselves for the whole weekend. Well worth it! (The only downside? Having to rent everything from the chairs to the tables to the tent.. since none of that is provided). Jay (the owner) is fabulous, laidback and very helpful. We are still hearing rave reviews about how awesome our wedding venue was. We call it our mini-Woodstock. :) Oh and camping was FREE for everyone!
Run by the fabulous Karen Lowe-Connelley of Rochester, MN. Food was absolutely AMAZING. The wedding was outside in early October so it was a little chilly, but somehow she kept the buffet food HOT. Very professional, on-time, and creative.
I made my own invitations (I'm a graphic designer), but had them all printed through Printz.com. Wonderful outcome and great customer service.
Unfortunately I'm blanking out on her last name, but Rebecca from Salon Nouvo in Rochester, MN did a fantastic job. She came on-site to our hotel in Albert Lea at a ridiculously early hour and did hair and makeup of 4 bridesmaids, me (the bride), and my mom. We all looked beautiful! She was VERY affordable, professional, flexible, and talented. A+++
He's the best. Hardworking, creative, and professional. Scott is a no-brainer!
I was hesitant about coming here as I did NOT want to get a "typical" wedding dress, plus I had heard some bad things about their customer service. At first I was shocked by the prices of the dresses -- VERY high and WAY out of my budget. But Allison could not have been nicer or more helpful. She started pulling dresses for me in my sizes and my budget, and somehow picked out the PERFECT dress for me. Also, because it fit perfectly, I got to buy it off the rack with a 10% discount! Allison definitely made the experience worthwhile - not sure I would have had as much luck with another salesperson.
