Beautiful work and unique invitations, but terrible customer service. The save the dates were not completed on time and invitations arrived 3 weeks late which caused a ton of problems. I had intended to purchase escort cards along with the Save the dates, thank you cards and invitations, but after I received the sample, the printing quality looked awful. I didn't hear from them again, so I bought escort cards elsewhere. A month later (and less than a month before the wedding) I received 2 rude and threatening emails when I informed them I had already bought escort cards due to the lack of response of their behalf. I also had ordered thank you notes that incurred a mysterious $125 fee in addition to the $375 charge for the 125 cards. I clearly ordered the $3 cards, so why they were suddenly charging me $4 was very disappointing and dishonest. I also was told I would receive a 5% discount for ordering a few projects but I never once received an invoice with a 5% discount indicated.
Donna is amazing--she listened to my ideas and made them so much better than I could have imagined. I trusted her 100% and she did not disappoint.
Pierre is an exceptional instructor. Very professional and kept us as ease. Completely made our wedding dance!
Vinwood catered our wedding at Castle Hill and rehearsal dinner at Stone Mansion. We had cocktails and tapas for the rehearsal dinner which was fantastic. Service was wonderful and the food was fabulous—our expectations for the wedding the following night were high. It was after Vinwood left we found the bag of gazpacho they had served at the rehearsal dinner that had expired 3 weeks earlier. Luckily no one was sick, but that could have been a serious problem. The wedding dinner was disappointing. The staff seemed clueless and the vegetarian entree was not edible. The lotus stir-fry was grey in color and full of salt. I was told no one ate it—some asked for a side of vegetables instead. One member of staff attempted to serve my aunt her clam chowder with the servers hair sitting in it. Another server took orders from an entire table asking for filet or lobster, when they were serving both, not one or the other. The guests even told her, but she insisted they all choose one and she wrote down their orders. When she returned she apologized, but this took a long time and caused their meals to come much later. The béarnaise sauce for the lobster came as plates were being cleared—clearly they forgot the sauce and shouldn’t have bothered—this was just awkward. The planning process was very professional and detailed, but the actual service the day of the wedding was an utter disappointment.
Absolutely fabulous! She knew what I wanted--probably even better than I knew myself and everything was discussed via email. Leah was so easy to work with and made the most beautiful customized bandeaux for my wedding day. I couldn't have loved it more!
In the planning process, Bobby seemed like a really nice guy and came recommended by a family member. However we were utterly disappointed. He forgot the grooms speech—not once, but twice. After we reminded him, he forgot again. The groom never got to thank our guests. He forgot the parent dance in honor of my parents 36th wedding anniversary at the same site ( which my mother will not let me forget--she was very upset) and forgot to call the wedding party up for the first dance both of which we had discussed in person and had in writing (neither the parent dance nor wedding party dance ended up happening). He played songs from our "do not play list" though he said (to me at the wedding) he never received the list from us, then he later told a guest he had received too many songs from us so he could not play her request. Lying is simply unacceptable. We would have been better off with an ipod and it would not have cost $1500. I strongly suggest you spend lots of time interviewing DJ's or bands. I obviously did not spend nearly enough time on this and it has been a complete stress even after the wedding was over.
I had to remove my previous review as I was accused of defamation. Ulla Maija threatened to pursue litigation if I did not remove my review. On October 20th, I posted a review of the company and my disappointment. On October 21st I received an email stating I had written slanderous comments about their company on Yelp. It should be clarified that writing a review on yelp cannot be slander. First of all, if you state false claims online it would be libel, as this was a written review, for it to be slander, it would have to be spoken. That aside, it is not my desire to be troubled with this ordeal any further, it has been traumatic enough, and clearly I do not wish to be sued and certainly not for stating facts. I did email the company back and attempted to clarify for them my point of view. I stated solely facts as I knew them to be. I later received a phone message on my cell, another email from the designer and a 21 page fax was sent to my place of work. The message in the fax stated that I had until 9am EDT 10/23/09 to remove my review or they would deal with this matter directly through the legal system in California. I contacted my own legal advice and this is what they told me to do—to replace the review with this one telling readers that I tried to post my experience on Yelp and this company threatened to sue me. Just in the time it has taken me to write this, I have received 5 more emails from the designer. I will simply say the gown was not as I expected it to be at my first fitting and it was not as I expected it to be at my final fitting. I am unhappy.
Absolutely amazing! Jennifer was wonderful with the details and planning. The opera cake was so delicious. I never eat cake at weddings, but this was truly fabulous.
