LOVED our cake. We had resigned ourselves to making a choice based on cost alone-- but then we tasted QUEEN OF CAKES. It was DELICIOUS and believe me, we had multiple cake testing appointments around the cities. The service was oustanding and the final product looked great and tasted even better.
Valerie was FANTASTIC. She helped take the millions of ideas running through my head to actually create a cohesive, BEAUTIFUL and cost effective action plan. From the planning and executing table decorations to helping clean up a vendor mess afterwards-- Valerie does it all!
Ohh, if we had only known that a great cost doesn't mean a great value!!! We signed up during a special offer- the DJ didn't call until 2 days before the wedding after we left multiple messages for him. He showed up, didn't "have" our father daughter dance that was requested on a form MONTHS before the wedding. So suggested we change the song- it was awful. Then he told father of the groom he would not play his requests--even though our direction was to take requests from anyone and everyone and give priority to the wedding party. After several people were told no, they finally came up to me and shared their frustration. So me, THE BRIDE requested two songs. He said "I'll see what I can do". seriously?!?! UNACCEPTABLE. Before the dance even started, he told our coordinator he wished he wasn't there. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
Would not recommend or use again. They take no initiative and do not run their business like professionals. They did take a few great pictures of the event site, but read on for more details.... Definitely not worth the money-- frustrations beginning with the engagement shoot and continued to even after the wedding. A few examples-
nearly an hour late for the engagement shoot,
engagment shoot= ZERO pictures of both of us facing the camera- strange but true,
Only one group picture the day of the wedding and janitorial staff in the background!!
we only had 2 pictures of the bride and groom alone--even though we asked for the bride/groom "walk" where we stage natural poses after the ceremony.
Communication extremely sporadic, usually required multiple emails to get a response. Another huge disappointment given that this was one area we "invested" a good chunk of our budget- $2000 for their "platinum" package-- and costs have even gone up.
Worth the money! Our guests loved the entertainment and the fact that they got to take their very own photo strip home. We loved that we got our own photoalbum that our friends could write in.
The only negative was that because it was costly, we opted for the minimal amount of hours-- and they actually set up during our reception instead of having it setup before hand.
Overall, very pleased!! Both ladies attending the booth were very fun and did a great job!
I was able to make inviations that looked better and cost less than the ritzy folks in the Galleria.
The best part was that I picked the colors and the basic design and the Paper Depot staff helped me pull everything together into a beautiful and unique design.
