Sissy's Catering is located in Azle, Tx. We started out great with them until a couple a weeks before the wedding. We were required to pay for at least half of the total service price. We were fine with the agreement. The agreement covered their services such as the bridal bouquet for the bridal portraits, flowers for the ceremony, catering, cakes, floral arrangements for the reception, table set ups, clean up after the reception. The food was excellent! Many of our guests complimented the food and beverages.
Our cakes on the other hand were poorly made. The groom's cake was suppose to have the army emblem which was provide weeks before the wedding. Enstead they put an army star and " U.S. Army" which was not centered. It was a disgrace! The bride's cake would have been okay if it wasn't leaning. To top it off, they forgot the cake plates. So they ran to the local grocery store and purchased plastic plastic white plates. That night my mother refrigerated the rest of my husbands cake. In the morning she discovered an aweful egg smell from the cake. So she had to throw it away. They could have done a better job.
When the reception was over, the catering assistant was rude to my wedding planner. She demanded my wedding planner pick up all the tables and then sort out the ones that belonged to the caterers and to the reception site. It was clearly the caterers job to pick up their own tables since we had rented the tables from the caterer.
Overall I would not highly recommend hiring this caterer for their lack of professionalism. They overcharge for their labor and hire high school students. I am sure they do not pay them well. If you are trying to have a nice wedding, pay a little extra to have more professional people caterer your reception or at least only hire them for the food!
