Mary Jane is the girl for up dos. She loves doing them and she does a beautiful job. Our hair was gorgeous. Also, they let our make up person come in and set up at the station next to Mary Jane. We had one side of the salon to ourselves. Everybody was really nice.
Tess will travel to you. She is out of Little Rock and will charge to travel, but she's worth it. She came to the salon and set up beside us. We had one chair for make up and one for hair. She really did a beautiful job. I didn't realize how good of a job she did until we got the pictures back. We aren't ugly people, but she made us look amazing.
I had a really wonderful experience with Proposals. They don't try to sell you bras and petticoats like other shops. The consultant asked what kind of dress I wanted and then let me look through the dresses. I bypassed a dress and she pulled it out and asked why I didn't try it. I told her I thought it was too frou frou. She insisted I try it on, so I did. It was "the dress". The alterations lady is really good. I think some shops are only interested in selling you as many extras as possible, but I didn't experience that at Proposals.
JoAnn knows everything there is to know about throwing a wedding reception. The food is delicious. The presentation is beautiful. Her help is immeasureable. I bought my own table runners and they came out of the packages with bad creases. She took them home and ironed them for me. We couldn't find my tossing bouquet and she made me one from the buffet table arrangement.
Kari is really nice and she does a really good job. Her packages include all day coverage. She will come to where you are getting ready and then go with you to the wedding venue. If you get a two photographer package, it is her and her husband. He will be with the guys while they are getting ready. All my pictures are beautiful.
My video is so well done! I hesitated to hire a videographer, but decided to go ahead and hire Michael to video my ceremony. I had seen Michael at a bridal fair and he had the best prices. He just did an amazing job editing the video.
DJ Hollywood was my DJ. He kept everything flowing and kept people dancing. This was another hesitation for me. I attempted to come up with my own song list. I gave up and decided to hire a professional. I'm really glad I did.
My flowers were beautiful. They were really good to work with too. I was clueless about centerpieces, so Phillip got out a bunch of different vases and flowers and started putting stuff together for me. Seeing different styles in person helped me. I brought them swatches of my bridesmaid dresses and they found roses that matched perfectly.
My officiant was Thomas Rider. He's from Texarkana but does weddings all over the place. His weddings are done with the bridal party facing the guests. He really encourages you to make your ceremony unique. He does a good job directing the ceremony and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be. Everyone commented on how good of a job he did and how much they liked him.
