Chris regularly does my hair, and I felt very comfortable going to her for my wedding. She did my hair for the bridal portrait, and did my sister's hair for the wedding as well. She did my hair exactly how I wanted it (twice) and is capable of pretty much whatever you're looking for. My sister's hair is very long and curly, and Chris worked well with her too, so I recommend her whether you have straight or curly hair, and no matter the length. Chris is also an Army wife/mom!
Marci is the person you need to go to if you are getting married near Fort Bragg/Fayetteville. Not only is her cake business outstanding, but she also personally knows most of the other wedding vendors in town. She linked us up with almost all of our vendors, whom she knew from previous weddings, bridal shows, and church. Her knowledge allowed us to stay well within our budget, and to choose people who were trustworthy to help us with our wedding. Marci actually catered our wedding, too, but you would probably need to call her well in advance of an event since she makes several cakes each weekend. We can't possibly praise Marci Mang enough! (Also, Marci has been an Army wife/mom for almost a couple decades)
Carol provided exactly what we wanted for a way better price than we found anywhere else. She provides flowers for bridal portraits as well, and I understand she also can coordinate your wedding, if you need that service.
Allison, our AAA travel agent, was very helpful in deciding on a honeymoon trip. We told her vaguely what we wanted, and she helped us narrow it down. We ended up going on a Carnival cruise and having an unforgettable week! Thanks to Allison's recommendation, we also went with a beautiful balcony room. I can't tell you how right she was. It was great to have our own little place to hang out and look at the views, while drinking wine/coffee/eating breakfast. I think she even got us a bottle of wine and some beer to be waiting there when we got on board the ship. (Still not sure who gave us that, but thank you immensely!)
Allison also set up a registry for our honeymoon, through which several of our guests helped us fund the honeymoon (also much appreciated!) The honeymoon couldn't have gone any more smoothly.
Products turned out great--embossed invites/response cards. However, they were delayed by at least a week. The business resolved this by giving us something like 10-15% off, and the prices were good too. We actually purchased letterpress paper at Target and designed the text using Word.
We love Rhudy's and probably wouldn't consider going to any other jeweler. We bought our wedding bands here, as well as my pearls. A wonderful store located in the heart of Murchison Road. =) Rhudy's is super-supportive of the military as well.
Great photographer, packages, experience, and flexibility. George is retired Army and was so easy to work with. He can do some great work with a camera, and is very familiar with the Main Post Chapel as well.
Stephanie did my makeup for the bridal portrait and for the wedding. She also did my sister's on the wedding day. I found her at ULTA, the makeup store/salon, and was very fortunate to do so. She has a lot of experience in Hollywood and has actually won awards for makeup she's done in movies. She was also a wonderful person to meet and is an Army wife/mom. She specifically tailored my makeup for the photographer's studio for my bridal portrait, and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. I didn't look like someone else, yet she managed a very polished and pretty look. I know that Stephanie also does brows, too. She is the kind of makeup artist where you can tell she's going to be good because she looks good and has a great personality.

We hired them pretty last-minute, and they covered every detail that we wanted to as far as wedding coordination, announcements, order of events, introductions, and--of course--music. They really allowed us and our families to enjoy the reception instead of worrying about details. I highly recommend any DJ from this business for any type of function. You can check them out every Saturday night at Huske Hardware, too.
