The Secret Floral Garden

We were very disappointed with this florist. We never expected that the one problem we would have on our wedding day would have to do with the florist, but unfortunately we were surprised on our wedding day. The bridesmaids bouquets and all of the hydrangea centerpieces were supposed to be dyed Tiffany Blue(tealish color) and they were not completely dyed...you could tell because they were mainly white/yellow! Oh and there is more...the roses that were placed in our candelabra centerpieces were not the ones we discussed, they were the correct color and they were pretty, but not how we discussed they were more open roses then closed(and we even showed her a picture of what we wanted in one of our meetings). Also, there were supposed to be flowers placed throughout the green plant in the urns that were next to where we would stand for the ceremony, instead they put two white columns with bubble bowls on top with a few flowers in it and on top...that was a complete shock as it was not what we discussed in our meetings at all or what was in our contract, or what we paid for! Not only had all of this been wrong, but before the ceremony started me and the bridesmaids were starting do take our portraits, and so the coordinator goes to get our bouquets and she comes back with all of the bridesmaids bouqets(which weren't dyed all the way and not even close) and tells me she doesn't see my bouquet! That's right my(the bride) bouquet was no where to be found and neither was the tossing bouquet!! I couldn't believe it this is 30 minutes before the ceremony starts and I'm supposed to walk down the aisle! I didn't get to take pictures with my bouquet with my bridesmaids. I was very disappointed and I was about to cry! They couldn't reach the florist on the phone either for a while. Finally, they did reach her on the phone and the coordinator that talked to her gave her 30 min to get there and finally she got there right before I was about to walk down the aisle, literally. Our ceremony started at 7pm and she got there with the bouquets at 7:02pm.

I would not recommend this florist. We didn't get what we paid for, what we discussed in our 2 or 3 meetings, or what was in our contract. We haven't even gotten any of the money back after all that was wrong!

Marc and Jill are absolutely wonderful!! You get a fast quote from their website, you can't beat their prices, and they are so sweet!! They helped us throughout the planning process and kept in touch the whole time! They want to make sure your wedding day is just how you want it and they will make sure of it! We loved how fast they respond to our emails and questions and that we could use their online planning tools and music selection!

We would definitely recommend them to anyone!!

Henry McCoy Photography

Henry is based in Baton Rouge, LA but he is willing to travel and he is def. worth it!! He is such an awesome photographer!! He took both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures! He also offers a Photo Booth option for weddings now and it is such a great idea to have this to get a lot of fun photos of you and your guests and just your guests and family too! It isn't a regular photo booth that is small, but it is a backdrop and someone taking the pictures...this allows for more people and room for the photo! Everyone loved this idea and we got a ton of great photos from it!! We haven't seen a bad photo from Henry yet and we will definitely be going back to him for any future events!!

Jordan Temple Makeup

Jordan Temple Makeup did my hair and makeup on my wedding day as well as my mom's and my mother-in-law's, and all of the bridesmaids!! They made all of us look stunning!! Just take a look at their website and see what they can do! The hair and makeup lasts all day and night too! We all loved the way we looked so much and all the girls definitely enjoyed it and it was money well spent! Not to mention, they had the best deals for hair and makeup that I found!! Jordan and Kristina did such a wonderful job!! I didn't have to worry about how I looked on my wedding day one bit!! I hope to go back to them again one day!

Al's Formal Wear

The location off of Kirby and Main St. is great because if there is something wrong with the tux then they can get a new one in about 30 minutes! They are very helpful and we chose their chocolate tuxes. Many guys were in tuxes: Groom, Both Dads, 6 Groomsmen, 3 Ushers, My Brother(our officiant), and the Ring Bearer!!

Who Made the Cake

We chose "Who made the cake?" as our wedding cake vendor because we had already heard so many great things about them and then when we had our consultation with Nadine, we just loved the way it went! She was so knowledgeable, she is the only person who works with you on designing the cake, and she is the owner of the company!! So we didn't have any worries about whether or not our cake would turn out great or not. We also loved how they would work with us to create the cake that WE want not whatever is easiest for them, but something just how we wanted it to be! They matched the cake to our colors perfectly!! We gave them a small swatch for the Tiffany Blue teal color that was one of our wedding colors and it looked wonderful. Since I had made our monogram and used it on our invitations and thank you cards and we decided to have a monogram on our cake, we asked them if they could duplicate the one I created and they did and it turned out wonderful!! They were even able to put our heavy cake topper that is so delicate and breakable on top and they didn't break it at all!! Any questions we had, they answered.

We would absolutely recommend them again and again!! OH and the cake tasted wonderful and we had soo many compliments on the cake!!
