They upgraded us to the executive floor and the happy hour was awesome.
Extremely upscale and comfortable, but very expensive for the simple hairdo I got.
Bernard was great and easy to work with. He was very accommodating with our music choices, meeting with us several times for hours to discuss them. And he was very affordable (less than half of what other NYC DJs were charging). He did a great job keeping people on the dance floor. Our only critique was that on our wedding day he changed into a suit at the venue rather than putting it on ahead of time. But overall: highly recommended.
We were somewhat apprehensive because we had had less than delicious Kosher catering food in the past, but Newman and Leventhal Kosher Caterers blew us away. The service and food were excellent, and the manager was patient and a pleasure to work with. People said that our food was the best they had ever had, and they weren't lying.
Basya was very easy to work with, very accommodating, and even learned some songs for us that we requested. They played us a 40 minute hora and kept up the energy when we thought we were going to pass out. We hired them to play during the cocktail hour and then the first hour of the reception.
Not inexpensive, but extremely talented photographer, beautiful quality photographs, great eye, handmade albums, and very patient and accommodating. Not your typical wedding photographer. Be prepared for photo journalism, interesting crops, and potentially not having all of your guests photographed if you have a large wedding (>200 guests). He works alone, he's not in your face during the event, and doesn't do table shots. You can see the great quality of his photos on his website.
We were extremely pleased with our unedited video. It was affordable, the videographer got great shots and knew what was important to get on tape. Make sure to speak to the videographer before the event, rather than just the company so that there is no miscommunication on the day of. Ours didn't know that we weren't doing a cake cutting, but during the event, he attempted to initiate one.
My bouquet and the centerpieces were beautiful. Our only criticism is they forgot to deliver some of the boutineers, and had to come back again.
