Wonderful staff and VERY relaxing atmosphere! My mother, mother-in-law, maid of honor, and I went there in the morning to all get our hair done. The salon includes a spread of breads, yogurt, and coffee for the wedding party. We brought campaigne and they provided the wedding glasses! The stylists are wonderful and experienced. Christine was my stylist and she did my hair exactly as I had envisioned for the wedding!
Great to work with. I have to say, though, that getting men's attire is SO much more low key than for women!!! I guess this is not only a gender thing, but also a credit to JPMs that they are pretty experienced and know how to deal with last minute types like my groom.
Eric was wonderful to work with! I gave him a ton of instructions and he followed them to the letter - such as when and how to announce traditional dances and my made up alternative to the bouquet toss ritual. When we talked about music he advised that I give him a list of 10 "must play" songs and 10 "DO NOT PLAY" songs. Then I gave him a longer list of songs for him to work with. I didn't expect him to run down the list, but put my trust in his judgement. I was totally relaxed the whole night and never worried about whether the music was "ok." It was fabulous! Eric incorporated the must plays into the mix and most of the other songs on my list. People danced continuously from after the traditional dances to the end of the party. Eric just did an awesome job. And an important piece of advertising - he's not an overpowering presence. He made announcements when I asked him to. He didn't use talk to work the crowd - it was all in the music!!!
Our cake was gorgeous and wonderfully rich and chocolatey. Seeing is believing - so please visit her website and see photos and you'll definitely fall in love with her designs. Not to mention how it will taste - which is amazing. She uses high quality, all natural ingredients. Wonderful vendor to work with.
Our arrangements were absolutely gorgeous. And the florist from Windham, Jim Andrews, is amazing. Definitely go with Windham! I was probably least involved in the details of exactly which flowers I was going to have. I let Jim figure it out based on my coloring (alabaster), my dress (ivory) and the dresses of my maid of honor and of the mothers. He used light colors so that I wouldn't look washed out and I just couldn't have been happier.
My mom hired favor creative to do the favors for my shower and for the wedding. For the shower we had an Asian theme because I used to live in China. We had a small bamboo plant in a glass vase with stones around it. For the wedding we had siver boxes wrapped with a band with our names on it to wrap German chocolates that we had bought from my husband's hometown. Again, this vendor was wonderful to work with. They also have a large selection of eco-friendly products. Beautiful site that's easy to navigate.
