We have been huge fans of Tim Sigler Band for years, and were so thrilled they were available to play our wedding. We had a few snags a few months before our wedding, but Tim was fantastic to work with. Our guests loved the band too and commented on how much fun they had.
Jamie was a rock star in helping to coordinate our menu. And Colin and his staff made some of the best food we have ever had. We went with breakfast food for our evening event, and wanted to ensure it was done with class - Wandering Kitchen did not fail to impress us and our guests. I just wish we would have had more time to enjoy it!
When we first spoke with the owner of Celebration Stories, we were told that she prided herself on handling tough stressful situations so they bride and groom and their families didn't even know about them.
Throughout the time we worked with CS, we found ourselves constantly stressing over whether or not tasks were being completed. We were often informed how difficult it was for them to locate vendors to work with our farm location. True, it was a rural remote location, however CS was aware of that from the beginning and said it wouldn't be an issue, that they plan farm weddings all the time. There were several personal issues that arose with our coordinator in the time we worked with her and they began to sound like excuses. We tried to be understanding and give her the benefit of the doubt, but it only seemed to escalate. This led to constant worry and even some strain on our relationship.
The day of rehearsal was very chaotic. I was hoping the coordinator would take charge of the setup so I could focus on the run through of the ceremony. I was constantly being pulled away by several people, family/friends wanting to assist, etc. I had conveyed to them that there were several items I purchased to decorate with and that I didn't have a preference in terms of where they were placed, basically giving them free reign to decorate how they saw fit. After all, they were the professionals and this was our first wedding. The day of the wedding my groom and his best man were stuck setting up our portable speaker, after the coordinator said she didn't know how to set it up. If you've done hundreds of weddings I would think this would be something you would be familiar with.
I would not recommend this company. Their rate was much lower than other companies I spoke with, but I think you get what you pay for.
