Itala was our Colombian Fairy Godmother! We found Itala via Facebook and after our initial skype consultation, we immediately fell in love with her charisma, charm and go-getter attitude. Since we are American and live in Boston, we wanted to find someone who we could trust whole-heartedly and who knew the best vendors and venues in Cartagena. Also, we were on a very tight timeline. 5 months before our wedding date, we decided to switch from a wedding in Florida to a destination wedding in Cartagena. We needed to find someone who was detail-oriented and was well connected in Cartagena. Itala did not disappoint! From selecting the venue all the way through the food, music, and flowers, Itala would provide us various options and really worked to make our vision fit our budget. We would continuously bounce back ideas via email, which she always responded in a timely manner. Itala made us feel like we were her only couple (even though I'm sure she was extremely busy)! She even answered ALL of my questions ( and I had tons). Another great thing about Itala is that she speaks fluent English! This was very important for my husband and his family since they don't speak Spanish. Unlike most of her couples, we couldn't find the time to visit Cartagena prior to the wedding. We had to trust Itala to make the decisions on our behalf.
On our wedding weekend, we met Itala for the first time in person and it was magical! She exudes confidence and calmness, which is something you need when your emotions are all over the place leading up to the big day. The day of our wedding, we were amazed at how wonderful it all turned out! She and her staff were so attentive and accommodating. Not once did we have to worry about anything. Although there were some hiccups ( like me forgetting the garter at the hotel), she was always ready with a plan B. We were not at all stressed during our wedding and we got to enjoy every last second of our big day! Everything from the ceremony, margarita bar during cocktail hour, the buffet dinner, the reception decoration, the crazy hour, etc. was well thought out and organized. Our guests danced, ate, and drank the whole night and left saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We wish we could relive this day over and over again. It felt surreal. Itala made our fairytale wedding come to life. I cannot recommend her enough. Although we were sad to leave Colombia, we now know we have a dear friend that we can visit. If you are planning a wedding in Cartagena, you won't be disappointed with Itala as your Fairy Godmother! She truly does have superpowers!
Adriana's good buffets are out of this world! We had the Peruvian, French and Italian stations at our wedding and we were extremely pleased at how everything turned out. Every single dish was well seasoned and tasted gourmet. This was definitely not "typical" wedding food and our guest were raving that some of the dishes were the best they ever had ( the duck especially). I would recommend Adriana in a heart beat for any and ALL events!
