The food was delicious and the staff was excellent. They provided a free tasting on Old Dominion Dr., Arlington several months before so we could make our selections. They also adjusted the amounts a week before when there were more guests than originally planned. Many guests commented on how good the food was.
The Kentlands Mansion is a lovely place to hold a wedding. We had the ceremony in the side garden on the grass and the banquet and dancing in the mansion itself. Both make beautiful backdrops for photography and the mansion has rotating displays of original art. All the women on staff are enthusiastic and delightful to work with. We worked most closely with Abby and Anna who were wonderful. A male staff member helped us store the wine and beer in the basement 2 days before the wedding.
He took a incredible collection of photographs and his sense of humor helped people relax. His photos were versatile, some from unusual points of view and others were classic.
He provided classical music for the ceremony, soft music for the banquet to help conversation and a range of music for dancing. He suggested the anniversary dance which was a great favorite. He also did announcements to help guests transition from one stage of the wedding to the next.
Ming, who works in the floral department, made beautiful bouquets, boutonniers and vases for the tables. Her arrangements reflected the colors in the bridal costume and she was delightful to work with.
Bishnu, the wedding cake specialist at Whole Foods, made a beautiful and delicious cake based on photograph we gave her. Guests commented on the taste and quality of the cake.
