For our needs and budget, Art Knapp/Gardenworks exceeded our expectations. After receiving a quote far above our budget from another vendor, we were concerned that we would not find a florist that would be able to accommodate our floral request within our budget. Upon our first email consultation, we were happy to find that Gardenworks was perfect! We were looking for simple arrangements that we could do up ourselves at the venue. Some florists did not offer this option so we were having to pay for services we didn't require. Gardenworks was able to supply the quantity of flowers we needed -- for the cake and the venue.
I visited Gardenworks a few months before and our consultant graciously created 'mock' bouquets for me to see and choose. On the day of the wedding, the flowers, bouquets and corsage were picked up a few hours before and we delivered them to our venue. It was easy, efficient and the flowers were beautiful. We stayed within our budget and were so impressed with both the service and quality of our floral arrangements from Art Knapp/Gardenworks Penticton.
Yvonne took the time to get to know us as a couple, and as individuals. Her knowledge, experience and kindness helped make our day a perfect one.
Our cake was made exactly as requested. We were able to meet with Tanya a few months before our wedding and talk about what we wanted and taste the many flavour options. Tanya listened and offered suggestions based on our comments. Looking at her many cakes and tasting her baking...she is an artist.
A three-tiered cake with three different, delicious cake flavours for our guests to enjoy. Cakes were moist and flavours were strong (not muted by the buttercream). My favourite will always be the Vanilla Bean Chiffon cake with Toffee Caramel and Espresso Crunch!
We could not have asked for a more perfect day for our wedding. It was a perfect day due, in large part, to Hillside Winery and Bistro. The location, the service..and the food! Many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted and were impressed by the choice and amount. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Lisa, our contact at Hillside, was incredible. She met with us whenever we asked to connect, our email queries were answered immediately, and every question or concern we had was addressed. Even special requests regarding cocktail hour, reception, service and menu were accommodated. From the talented kitchen staff to the efficient, caring and speedy servers...perfect.
We visited many winery venues in and around the Naramata/Penticton area. We started to get quite discouraged as prices quoted were above our budget while also requiring us to rent table, chairs, cutlery, etc. and hire a caterer.
Hillside Winery offered the complete package at a reasonable cost. For us, what really sets it above and beyond our other options was the service and quality...from start to finish.
From the first meeting to the delivery of our photos last week, working with Jessica and Andy has been an absolute pleasure. They are professional, caring, attentive, intuitive, fairly priced, and so very talented! Going over our photos brought many tears and much laughter as we relived our day. I highly recommend Jessica and Andy as wedding photographers.
