I can't put into words how thankful I am that my husband and I found Itala to help us plan our wedding. I am originally from Colombia and wanted to get married in Cartagena partly because a lot of my family would be able to attend, but mainly because of the charm that this colonial city radiates. The problem was that we live in Chicago, and didn't actually know anyone in Cartagena. That's where Itala comes in. My mom read reviews about her and her team (mibodaencartagena) and recommended that we have a Skype meeting with her. So we did. We immediately signed up. Best decision we ever made.
Itala was super organized from day 1. This was very important because both my husband and I are attorneys and work 80+ hour weeks. She made the entire process not only easy, but FUN! Emails were our best friend. She would promptly respond to all of my questions, even when they were silly. At no point did I ever feel like I was far away. Itala assumed the role of my eyes and ears, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. In no time, she knew our taste and sought out the vendors that could help us achieve the "look" and "feel" we were going for. In fact, there were moments when I would just tell her to make the final decision because I trusted her THAT much.
In addition to the planning process, I have to say that our actual stay on Cartagena was more than we could have ever asked for. She took us around to run errands and always made sure we felt like we were on vacation! Even more importantly, Itala made our guests feel welcome and safe! Everybody loved her! I can honestly say that this woman will always have a special place in out hearts and we will always have very fond memories of our wedding week because of her. A life-long friendship is what we developed.
If you are even considering a wedding in Cartagena, I would HIGHLY recommend mibodaencartagena and Itala Vasquez. You won't be sorry, I promise!
