The cake turned out beautifully. We didn't have any events at Amy's restaurant but we did eat there one day. Very good food!
One of my favorite parts of the day was getting the bouquets. You don't really feel like a bride until you pick up the flowers- Dulce used a great mix of local blossoms and larger tropicals. They were spectacular.
David was organized through our coordinator at the resort. I don't know how to contact him otherwise. He was very funny and great to work with- in planning and on the day of the ceremony. He made everyone comfortable while they were waiting for the wedding to begin and he kept things light during and after. A little crazy, but that's his charm.
Vivian was our contact and arranged everything from the menu to the amazing decor. We arrived to a torch lit beach with white sand- seriously paradise. I saw most of what the island had to offer and I wouldn't recommend any place other than this one for the reception. It was truly magical.
We stayed here all week and had the ceremony at the end of the pier (the palapa). Susan was our coordinator and, really, my hero. She planned everything with me from the very beginning and took care of every little detail that came up, whether it had to do with the ceremony or not. She went so far above and beyond her call of duty, but there were only five stars to give...
Xanadu was a great location, close enough but far enough from town to enjoy everything but not be in the middle of it. They offered lots of activites and there was plenty of food you could walk to (though we had golf carts). I love this place.
