We had a wonderful time working with Carolyn. She had so many wonderful ideas for personalizing our ceremony and making it our own. Our guests could not say enough good things about her and how personal and intimate our ceremony was. She was supportive and helpful throughout the planning and arrived early to the wedding to give the wedding party a "pep talk" about savoring the moments of our special day that I won't ever forget.
Our cake was beautiful (exactly what I had always dreamed about), but I could go on for days about the taste!! I have been to a lot of weddings where the cake looks better than it tastes...not at our wedding! We had two different flavors, chocolate chocolate chip with peanut butter cream and vanilla with key lime filling, both were fantastic! I can't wait for our one year anniversary so that I get some more of Marci's incredible cake!!
We used Reale Decorating for our flowers and decorating. Deby was wonderful to work with and she was as enthusiastic about our wedding as we were. She had a lot of photos of her previous work, which we used as inspiration for our arrangements and also gave me a lot of confidence in her final product. On the wedding day, I held it together until I saw the bouquets for the wedding party. I burst into tears because they were so much more beautiful than I could have imagined. The centerpieces and flowers for the ceremony were just as incredible and really transformed the blank canvas of our ceremony and reception site into a space that was truly our own.
We knew that we would like Susan from our first phone call with her, but we didn't appreciate how much we would love working with her or how fantastic our photos would turn out. On our wedding day, she was warm, professional and just fun to take pictures with (the usually dull task of taking countless family photos when everyone really just wants to get to the cocktails was not the case at our wedding!). After the wedding, she was remarkably quick to return the final pictures to us and we could not be more pleased with the quality of our images. Even the posed shots are well-composed - if only we could decide on which ones we will frame! Also, as a very nice touch, she sent us a thank you note for the tip we gave at the wedding. It wasn't necessary by any means, but it is a testament to what a nice person Susan is. There aren't any children in our immediate future, but once there are, we can't wait to work with Susan Armitage again to capture more of our memories!
