Stephanie was absolutely fantastic. We didn't have an abundance of flowers, but she drove from Pittsburgh to Meadville the day of the wedding to set up, then took the flowers from the church to the reception. She even made sure my train was in order before I walked down the aisle. She's a genuinely nice person and really takes time to make the arrangements special.
Sarah did a great job with our cakes - especially given the fact that I found her 2 months before the wedding and asked if she would make our cake for us! (I switched from another bakery)

Another vendor I can't stop gushing about. I was referred to Andrea through a co-worker. I was a little nervous, entrusting my wedding hair to a stranger, but she completely put me at ease during the trial. She really worked with me to make sure I was pleased and that it was what I wanted.
For the wedding party, she worked together with 2 other hairdressers to style our 6 girls and a flower girl. Everyone ended up really liking their hair (which is not always the case with bridesmaids!). They did a fantastic job. I can't praise them enough.
I had my doubts about this hotel at first, because we had some issues with the room block. They originally told me that they would block 10 rooms, and when those were full, they'd add 10 more, and so on. I knew we would have a large number of guests staying there and had to call numerous times to add rooms to the block. We also had guests that were told there were no rooms remaining, but then got "the last room" (about 4 people we know got the "last room"). I think they need to streamline their blocking process. Also, check in is at the 3 but my parents room wasn't ready until after 4 o'clock. But now onto the positive. Once we were actually there, the staff was UNBELIEVABLE. They were friendly, accommodating, and made me forget about the trouble I had had with the front desk. They will make the stay worthwhile, I promise! Plus, the rooms are clean and newly renovated.
We used DJ Henry, but his colleague DJ Chris was the one who DJ'd our reception and cocktail hour. He was fantastic - laid back, took requests, and constantly had a smile on his face. I recommend requesting him if you use their company!
Alex was a dream come true! We found him online and after meeting him determined that he's not only a talented photographer but one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He and his wife came to Pittsburgh for our engagement shoot in early March (read: 29 degree weather) and tolerated 4 hours of picture taking in the frigid cold. For the wedding, he knew exactly what pictures we wanted and was able to capture the day perfectly. HIGHLY recommend this wonderful husband/wife team!
Father Matt was great to work with. We highly recommend Rick as the organist as well. Father was easy going and easy to talk to, which made planning smooth and stress free! Plus, the church is so pretty with the new paint job (completed summer 2013).
We can't say enough good things about this place. The wedding coordinator, Joyce, was a joy to work with. She took our vision and ideas and made them into a reality. I had numerous guests compliment the wait staff, and the ballroom was just gorgeous. Also, they do not make you feel obligated to have guests stay at the hotel - we had our bridal party and most guests stay in Meadville. They really did a beautiful job and it's such a unique place to have a wedding. I highly recommend this place for a memorable day!
