Lovely little gem in the French Quarter for wedding ceremonies that are smaller than 80 people. Would make for an awesome intimate 20 person wedding ceremony and reception. Highly recommend this location!
AWESOME vendor! If you are looking for that classic big band / Dixieland Jazz band this is who you need to hire. Dr. Steele (aka Dr. Jazz) is a pleasure to work with and the rates for his services can not be beat! We could not have been more pleased with his services. We hired 2 of his musicians for our ceremony, more musicians for our 2nd Line parade and his whole band with male and female vocals for our reception.
Doug & Titus shot our wedding, they were great! I just wish we had more time for more pictures. After viewing my final pictures I realized how I wished I had additional pictures taken of certain things, friends and family. Leading up to our wedding Doug sends a few different e-mails with great information to help plan my day and honeymoon! Now in the process of creating my album so we are still working with him.
Our wedding cake was super yummy - Vanilla cake with Salted Carmel filling! Danielle was a pleasure to work with, even when I had to downsize my cake from 100 to 80ppl. My only negative was I wish my design on the cake was all over the cake (front and back) which I had noted on my signed contract, however when I saw the cake on my wedding day, the decoration was just on the front side. No one else noticed this but me, but it was a let down.
Awesome vendor for decor lighting! Lighting truly makes a difference if you have an evening event. Lisa and her team have all sorts of lighting options to make a really unique impact on your ceremony or reception (or Both!) Additionally, I could not have open flame in my reception location so she used the battery operated flicker lights. Everything looked stunning in the gold mercury glass I had rented from her.
Eric at Bee's was easy to work with and I was provided a very detailed proposal/contract with the flowers I specifically asked for. When we got closer to the wedding, a specific flower was not going to be available so I was informed of another option that would compliment what I had originally wanted and it worked out great. My bouquet and ceremony flowers were fantastic. The reception centerpieces were nice but I did not feel the 3 designs we had discussed were executed as described on the contract. My biggest disappointment was the men's boutonnieres. They barely made it through the ceremony without looking wilted and their design was quite basic compared to the pictures I had shown of what I was looking for.
Great vendor on Etsy - they helped me custom design my wedding suite. They created a beautiful invitation utilizing the lace design from my great grandmother's wedding veil. They were reasonably priced and provided prompt service.
Awesome ladies to work with! My makeup was flawless and lasted the whole entire day. My up-do was perfect based on a picture I gave them. They also did my matron of honor and my mother's make-up and they all looked great. They provide on-site services so having them in my suite to get ready was so nice.
Location is great, venue space is lovely (old time, historic period decor,) good wait staff service and good food. Wished my catering manager was a bit more knowledgeable in food and flexible with ideas I had to change a few things up. I can get picky here since I work in the meeting planning/catering business. But when my guests raved about the food and service, I really can't complain since they are the ones I want to ensure had a great time!
Valerie is great - I hired her to assist me with full service planning of my wedding. From finding me vendors to taking care of the day of details she did it. My biggest hang up was her response time on e-mail correspondence, which I should have addressed in the beginning. Bad on me. However she was worth her weight in gold in organizing all the vendors and details the day of. I can truly say I had a perfect wedding and did not have to worry about a thing! I had so many people comment on how calm and relaxed I was my wedding weekend. I attribute it to the fact I hired a true professional.
