Wendell Davis is one of our good friends and is by far one of the best DJs. He's a great MC and we didn't have to worry about what he should or shouldn't play at the reception. Wen (aka Wendell) has has a lot of experience with weddings. We basically worked out a time line and I gave him a list of certain songs we wanted to hear and let him work his magic.
Everyone at the wedding danced their aces off and praised the DJ.
My husband purchased my engagement ring from Joe Escobar and praised their service. It didn't take him long to peruse the counters before he found the perfect ring for me (since I absolutely love it). Since we were so pleased with the quality and service we decided to get our wedding bands from Joe Escobar as well.
We worked with Sal and I think we were pretty easy customers since we knew exactly what we wanted. He was patient with us and informative. After we placed our order I wanted to purchase a ring cleaning kit but he was gracious enough to give it to us for free (since we did just make a large purchase). When my husband picked up our bands they even gave us a bottle of champagne.
Every time I've been back to get my ring cleaned they take the time to inspect the diamond and my ring comes out looking like new. They also offer you a cold beverage :). I'm sure I'll be back for more jewelry :).
I found Melissa from a coupon on a website for a discounted engagement session. I reviewed her work on her website and instantly fell in love with her artistic photos. My husband and I met with her and this just reaffirmed our decision to work with her.
She did an awesome job at our engagement session. Our photos were artistic and, as my husband says, made us look damn good :-p. She created a Pinterest board which we could both pin inspirational photos for the shoot. I completely forgot about what I pinned but she was great at remembering them and made sure we took those photos.
She has such a warm, friendly and bubbly personality. I instantly felt comfortable working with her since I felt awkward getting my picture taken :-p...and I felt like she was someone I knew for years. On our wedding day she even brought her iPad to review pictures I had posted on Pinterest of different wedding photos I liked. Again she continued to amaze me with her professionalism and work ethic.
I haven't see our final wedding photos but I know I will be amazed and love them from the ones she's showed us. I definitely recommend working with Melissa. I know I'll use her again :).
I've used this company several times for other events but recently we used them for our wedding. We hired a limo to pick us up to bring to the venue and also a shuttle to take our guests to and from the hotels and venue. Both arrived on time and the drivers were very professional and courteous.
Prior to the day my contact was Jason and he was willing to work with me and give me a good deal. He was good at answering my questions via email. I will continue to use this company in the future.
I had no idea on the cost of flowers or what I wanted for my wedding. I just had pictures for inspiration. Hyejin was so helpful and worked with my budget. The outcome of everything was exactly how I imagined it would be. She did such an amazing job and was always available when I had questions. She even gave me a discount since I was providing some items for the center pieces.
My colors were yellow, gray and orange as an accent. I created inspiration boards on Pinterest and just showed Hyejin and she easily created what I wanted and added her own creative touches. At our first meeting she showed me pictures of past weddings that she worked on which was super helpful and she even asked the right questions so that I wouldn't forget flowers for certain things (i.e., pew flowers, altar flowers, etc) because I had no clue.
Again, Hyejin is affordable, creative and the sweetest person. I enjoyed working with her through my whole wedding process and I'm so sad it's over now. Definitely use her for your wedding!
I found Rin's by searching for a particular designer dress and Rin's was the only one who had it. The first time I visited Rin's I felt at ease and their staff was very helpful. I was only there an hour and it wasn't enough time to try on the different styles of dresses. So I knew I wanted to return. The store is small and can get a little hot but that didn't bother me.
I ended up going to a few other stores to try on dresses and found THE dress which was the Casablanca by Enzoani. I remembered Rin's mailing me a card letting me know they were having a sale so I called Rin's to see if they had the dress I wanted and they did AND I could use the discount. Score!
Throughout my whole wedding process the staff at Rin's were great. I had to get a lot altered since Rin recommended I get a bigger dress (which in the long run I probably should have got a smaller size but no biggie). The alterations were a bit pricey (around $500) but in the end, the dress fit me like a glove and I was very pleased. I even purchased the chandelier earrings I wore there too. At my final fitting I still had to take the dress in a little and the staff were accommodating allowing me to try on the dress one final time before I took it home.
Overall I chose Rin's because I knew I would get the attention I needed and I wanted to give my business to them versus a big store. The only negative thing was they don't do fittings on the weekend so my mother wasn't able to participate in this process since she lives an hour away.
Kim was referred to me by one of my good friends. Kim did her make up for her wedding and I thought she looked beautiful. So of course I had to contact Kim. After getting in touch with several make up artists I found Kim's work to be excellent and her prices are affordable.
I had scheduled a make up and hair trial and Kim nailed my make up. I showed her a picture of J Lo and Kim worked her magic. I had to schedule another hair trial since I wasn't sure what I wanted the first time and Kim helped me finalize my look the 2nd time.
On the wedding day Kim came with an assistant and they both were very flexible and got hair and make up for 3 brides maids, 1 bride and make up for 2 moms done on time (started at 9 and was done by 2 pm). Kim makes you feel very comfortable. My make up was gorgeous (as well as everyone else) and it lasted all night. She did a great job with my hair too but unfortunately, since my venue was very windy, I had to altar my hair a bit. I got tons of compliments from my guests and pictures came out great. I definitely suggest working with Kim.
