Really kind and reasonable people at Sweet Adeline's. We wanted a simple but delicious, delectable cake, and they totally delivered. The price was the best we found, too, and free delivery within a small radius in Berkeley. Hurray!
Sublime. Ann and her son, Morgan, put together a jaw-dropping California French menu that was more feast than dinner. Not the cheapest quote we got, but still very reasonable, and the AWC team is completely dependable on every count. I was so lucky to have them on our side for such an important day.
Stephanie Berg offers wedding dance instruction at a variety of locations in the Bay Area, and she was a total joy to work with. Neither of us had ever had a lesson in our lives, and "Dance Night" quickly became the highlight of our week. Stephanie's relaxed, fun, and a total professional. Skip the pricier ballrooms in town; go meet Stephanie and you'll love her.
We interviewed a LOT of officiants and no one felt right for our ceremony until we met Sue Morales. She's warm, genuine, and eager to collaborate on the story you hope your ceremony will tell. Whereas other officiants were really selling a packaged idea of how a wedding should look ("Choose from sermon A, B, or C!"), Sue spent lots of time with us to craft something really personal. Also: she was absolutely warm and welcoming with our GLBT and multi-faith family and friends. That was a huge selling point for us. We just can't recommend her enough.
John was fun, unobtrusive, extremely well-prepared (he had an uncanny memory for names and details), and left us with a catalog of astounding and innovative shots of our big day. A gifted photographer and a really great guy to boot.
