Jessica was great to work with and did a wonderful job! I was really happy with how my hair and makeup looked for my bridal portraits and for the wedding, and it was nice that she was able to come to me on the wedding day.
I've watched enough TLC shows to expect the process of finding a wedding dress to be stressful and lengthy. My experience at The Dress could not have been more opposite! I did not have to make an appointment and received more personal attention than I got at the larger bridal shops in the area. I found THE PERFECT dress for me, and Julia had a great eye to help me pick out jewelry and a veil to go with it. I even brought my engaged friend who ended up buying HER dress there too! I cannot say enough about how positive and stress-free the dress-buying process was, thanks to The Dress!
One of the best things about Greg is that when I gave him my budget up front, he stuck to it - there was no back-and-forth trying to fit something else in. He promised to "make it work" and do all the arrangements I had requested while staying within my budget, and he certainly delivered! One of the difficult things about working with Greg is that he doesn't typically use email, and I'm not sure he took many notes as I had to correct him a few times on some details I wanted. This stressed out my type-A personality tremendously, worrying what we'd end up with. He is, however, very responsive if you call him, flexible with meeting times, and is not afraid to offer his opinions on certain looks or colors (which was good for me planning an October wedding but trying to avoid looking like Halloween). Because there was never a "quote" listing out what flowers he'd use, mine ended up being slightly different from what I'd originally said I wanted, and what he'd said they'd be. However, they were still beautiful and my guests loved the arrangements. I'd recommend Greg and if I ever needed a florist again, I'd relax and trust him to do a fantastic job!
My guests all had wonderful things to say about Trio864's music! I like that they have options of different instruments; the piano, violin, and cello combo worked great for our wedding. They were by far one of the easiest vendors I worked with; always responsive and had some great suggestions.
I hadn't put much thought into the cake before I met Darla from Creative Confections, but she helped me come up with a cake that looked and tasted great but wasn't over the top. It ended up being a little more than I'd wanted to pay, but it was worth it for that raspberry filling and chocolate ganache!
I think I found a best kept secret in Hardwick Printing. While they don't actually print the invitations, they can order from the same books you'd find at invitation stores, but at a discounted price. They were responsive and easy to work with, and I loved how my invitations turned out. I used them for my programs as well!
I was very impressed with the detailed information requested by The Party Machine in advance of my wedding. It showed me that they had enough experience to know what questions to ask, and what information they needed to ensure the night flowed smoothly. They thought of scenarios ahead of time that I would never have thought about! They were great working with me on special music requests, and their online "requested playlist" was fun to work on prior to the wedding. Having both a DJ and an MC was a great advantage in my opinion. Everything flowed well throughout the night, and they got people up and dancing!
