Paula, the owner of Bridgewater Gardens, was wonderful to to work with. We knew that we wanted peonies, but didn't know if we could afford them. Paula helped us choose just the right flowers, and to make bouquets and centerpieces that fit our budget. My mom and I were able to go pick up the flowers and make the bouquets ourselves - an additional savings.
Our photographer from Fox Portrait Studio was wonderful! She not only had us all laughing, but the photographs she took were stunning. We could not have been happier!
The dress I found at David's Bridal was beautiful, and picking it out was a wonderful experience. When it came to purchasing the dress, however, I felt that they were something of scam artists. The delightful sales lady found a (somewhat odd) hairpiece for me to wear while trying on my dress. Somehow in all the ringing up, it ended up in my bag - non-returnable and not at all what I had wanted. They also sold me a nightmare of a longline bra - also not returnable. When I pointed out to them that their website had numerous bad reviews of this longline bra, they did let me exchange it for another. The alterations were MUCH more expensive than their signage in the fitting room had led me to believe. Who knew that alterations are charged per side of the dress, and that you must pay for altering both the skirt and bodice even when ONE SIMPLE SEAM is all that is needed. If I could have found someone I trusted to pin my dress for me, I would have done the alterations myself and been happier with the quality of the work.
