We have had so many people tell us that the food at our wedding was the best wedding food they've ever had. The food was delicious - the servers were awesome - and the setting was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for anything better. You can certainly find a cheaper option in the Madison area, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better value.
We hired Deb as a day of coordinator. Our reception site, the Waunakee Village Center, doesn't have an onsite coordinator that handles things like telling the caterer where to set up, taking the trash/recycling out during the reception, and taking down all the decorations after the reception. So we hired Deb to take care of all those details. It was probably the best money we spent for the wedding! I have no idea what we would have done without her. She took care of absolutely everything we asked her to do and took a lot of worry away from us so that we could concentrate on enjoying the day. Deb is just starting out in the wedding planning business, so there were some things we could tell she needed a little experience on - but all in all, Deb was fantastic!
We wanted a big dance party at our reception and that's exactly what we got. The DJ read the crowd perfectly and kept the dance floor packed all night. Planning with Celebrations was easy - they are willing to handle everything via email, which is critical for me, and their planning tool is really easy to use. They are a bit pricey compared to other DJs in town, but totally worth it in my opinion.
We hired Van Go Taxi to run a shuttle between the wedding and the hotel, both before the ceremony, and at the end of the reception. It worked very well, and our guests were very appreciative of the fact that they didn't have to drive. We had no issues with the service we got. The only reason I rated them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they used a mini van instead of a larger vehicle, which meant they had to make more trips. The other thing to note is that you're not going to get someone in a suit or a tux with Van Go Taxi. It wasn't important to us that the person be well dressed, but if it's important to you, I'd recommend checking out Badger Bus or someone else.
