Not a very good DJ. Low price, but I did not feel like the DJ was very knowledgeable about music. We ended up hand picking most of the songs and had to provide a large portion of the music ourselves, since we like indie music and the selection was pretty limited. Might be a fine choice if you want pretty conventional choices, but not good if you like alternative music. Not a great presence at the reception and didn't time some events very well.
Reasonable rates for all day coverage. Laid back, photojournalistic style avoids awkward poses and captures the real emotions. We were thrilled with the photos and can't wait to see more. Absolutely top rate!
I got my peony bouquet from Hazelfield farm and picked it up at the Madeira farmer's market. They also do larger parties. The flowers were beautiful, affordable (32 bucks! for about 15 stems), and it felt great to support a local farmer. They also do larger orders for weddings. Sometimes it took a long time to get an e-mail response.
Outstanding cakes. Definitely of the rich and dense variety rather than the light and fluffy variety. We ordered 4 different cakes rather than a traditional tiered wedding cake. The cakes were beautiful and the guests raved about the coconut and lemon-berry flavors.
Great source for delicious vegan cupcakes. Even our non-vegan guests were delighted with the chocolate cupcakes. There was a little confusion about the order (when I called to change the order, they had lost the original order and I had to re-order).
Really impressive musicians. We chose a string trio for our outdoor wedding and were very happy with the quality of music and professionalism of musicians. They were helpful and flexible during music selection.
