I could never say enough about Chris and DDE. He does not advertise but has won several awards and works basically by word of mouth. We went through three photographers so by the time we got to him we were skeptical of everything. He put us at ease, was very generous with his packages and pricing, and I am looking forward to any excuse to use him again. He is so amazing, he was the best part of my wedding by far, this was the smartest decision we made throughout the whole wedding.
AMAZING! The only thing that we didn't like about the ROYAL playa del carmen, was that we tipped people the whole time we were there even though they say you dont have to, and the last two days we were there they were all putting their hands our and asking for tips. Very rude, especially since we had been tipping all week anyway and would've continued to tip had they not been so blunt.
I had alot of problems prior to finding this venue so when I met Mark he was a godsend. Turns out he wasnt going to be keeping up with my wedding it would be Anne who was SO great. I hated that he just dumped me off on someone who had no prior info on what we had talked about but Anne was great. She did everything she could to help me and make me happy, however, the hotel did loose one of my centerpieces I brought in and that kind of upset me. But other than that, very professional and quick to anticipate needs.
Mary and Plano Florist are great! Mary is the owner, I met with her several times and the flowers were beautiful, BUT it was not all what I picked, some things were a complete surprise to me, but by the time the wedding started there was nothing I could do to change it. I was very clear in what I wanted and we have it all broken down and have copies of what we agreed upon and unfortunately she didn't get it right. But what she did do, was beautiful, just not what I picked.
This is a husband and wife team, the husband is your Dj (Manny) and his wife (Stacia) is there to supervise and make sure the time line goes accordingly. He was great! But Stacia was AMAZING. She was there to help me and put me back in my dress and keep me on track with things I needed to do without getting in the way. These two are a great price and you get two of them for the price of one! I will recommend them to everyone I know getting married!
Sadly, we went through two places before we found Dee Dee. Her cake tastes AMAZING. However, the design of my husbands cake was horriobble. She had presented me ideas, and while she couldnt deliver on her own ideas, it looked horriobble. The pictures we have from the photographer of the cake will not be in our wedding book because I was emberassed of it. My cake looked good, but it was not what we had discussed. She changed it around, and it was not what I asked for. The grooms cakes looked sloppy, but again tasted great. Her prices are great too! We saw plenty of pictures of cakes that looked amazing, but I dont know if she ran out of time or forgot about his cake or what? And after we payed for chocolate covered strawberries painted like footballs all around his cake there was none, which was especially disheartening since that was the main thing my husband asked for.
