Linda at River House Seafood made sure we had exactly the Rehearsal/Welcome dinner we wanted. As so many folks were coming into town on Thursday and Friday (deciding to make a long weekend of it themselves), we chose to turn the Rehearsal Dinner into a Welcome Dinner for our wedding party and all other guests who were in town (which was all but four of our total wedding guest count). We had a casual dinner. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely, and the food was wonderful -- especially the pecan pie (even ended up buying my Dad one to keep in his room for the weekend).
Wow! Milissa at M Sweet did a fantastic job on the dozens of mini-cupcakes we ordered -- we decided to do a dessert table, rather than the traditional wedding cake. She delivered them to our venue at 109 West in the historic district of Savannah, and worked with our friend to set up the most appealing dessert table I've seen since my last cruise. The price was very budget friendly, and they tasted delicious!
B Street Salon saved my sanity, not to mention my hair for our wedding. A salon I had booked months before the wedding, called the a 4 days prior to our wedding to say that they would be unable to do our wedding party. After a very quick, but intensive search, B Street Salon came highly recommended from a friend of a friend that I just learned lives in Savannah. They graciously worked me and my party into the schedule (including a trial, just one day after I called). Stylist, Whitney, was wonderful and did a magnificent job with my hair and makeup -- as well as putting up with my entourage. :-) The whole experience went from being the only thing that stressed me in planning the wedding, to being a great source of relaxation and confidence. Since we planned our Savannah wedding from Florida, without knowing anyone in Savannah, we did pretty much everything online. If you've searched for an officiant online for the Savannah area, I'm sure you've come across lots of information on Rev. Schulte. I spent hours reviewing everything I could find on him, and looking for anything that discredited what I was reading. I found only great reviews, and after he performed our wedding, I have only great things to say about him myself. He ws great to work with prior to the wedding, and we met him at our rehearsal the day before the wedding. He had us in stitches at the rehearsal, and did an absolutely beautiful job at the ceremony itself. Rev. Schulte is simply wonderful!
