I had a very good experience with Blooms by the Box. Leading up to the wedding the few people I spoke to on their hotline were very helpful with suggestions. I really did not know what I was getting into and they were willing to look at links I sent and photos I sent to help me create the exact centerpiece that I found online. Even when the power went out on the east coast (due to the hurricane!) they were answering the hotline from their personal cell phones. That is dedication! When my flowers arrived I was so excited. I ordered way more than I needed but was glad to have extras. It was definitely a lot of work, but I set my friends up in a room and they had the flowers done in vases in about 2.5 hours! The only downside to ordering online is obviously some of the stress in not knowing what to expect and having a few of the flowers (maybe 3-5) not be blooming enough by the wedding day. Overall, great company I highly recommend.
Angie Cavallaro was fantastic. She made a number of alterations to my J.Crew dress and did so with such high quality work. She was so sweet and kind when I was there and made me feel like the only person she was working with. I did not feel rushed in any way and felt I could spend my time considering options with her. She had some great suggestions for undergarments as well! She is only available during the weekdays, which is difficult for some, but it was not a problem for me.
Julie with Jewel Hair Design was fantastic. For some reason figuring out what to do with my hair was a big stress for me so I delayed it until about a month before the wedding (BAD BAD IDEA). That said, Julie was so sweet and understanding and made time in her schedule to have a trial with me. She tried a few hair styles for me and was willing to make all the little changes I requested. On the wedding day she came very promptly and had everything neatly laid out. When our (old) venue's fuses started blowing she was so flexible and moved all her stuff next door to the hotel. Julie was also very kind to let me vent about my [crazy] family while doing my hair. I got so many compliments on my hair (and all my friends's hair she also did) and would highly recommend her to everyone. I've already sent two friends her way and hope everyone here gives her a call ASAP!
My husband and I just received our wedding photo albums from A La Carte Albums and are so happy with the final products. Jane helped us select a number of photos for the album, edited the images, designed the album layout, and had two different types of albums produced for us. She provided guidance where we requested, but let us make suggestions and stay involved in the process. Jane was incredibly patient with me when I asked tons of questions, and walked me through all my options. I requested that we use all vegan materials for the album and she had no problem doing extra research to make the album something I loved. Overall, the process was smooth and even fun. There were a few minor errors during production and Jane immediately fixed them so that our final products were perfect. My husband and I would highly recommend working with A La Carte Albums.
I am happy to provide an outstanding review for Devin Alexander at My Deejay. From the moment Jennifer recommended Devin for our wedding I knew he would be the right fit. He came to our first meeting on time and prepared. He was so sweet and flexible and wanted to make sure that he had all the details right (even when I had a few odd requests). Through the process he was there when we needed him but was never overbearing. He was happy to play what we wanted, but easily came up with his own ideas when we were stuck. In our final meeting he gave us just the amount of confidence we needed to get through the final week. The day of our wedding he came early, set up and made everything go seamlessly. We got tons of compliments on the music and even requested an extra hour with our venue cause he had everyone dancing (in a VERY hot room) all night. We were so pleased with our experience with My Deejay. I will recommend them to everyone.
