The Say Cheese Photo Booth at our wedding reception was definitely one of the highlights for our guests. We used the photo booth in conjunction with our guest book, which gave us a guest book we will look at again and again. We love the finished product. And our guests loved the photo booth. One friend, in particular, got in the booth dozens of times – we think he took pictures with every guest.
We knew early in the planning that we wanted a photo booth, so we shopped around. Say Cheese was the only photo booth that fit the bill: unlimited pictures, black-and-white or color photos, photo strip print-out rather than a 4x6, double prints so that we could have one copy and the guest could take the other, a cd of all images from the night, and it was an actual photo booth – we were surprised by how many photo “booths” were actually just pipes and curtains, or simply a camera and a back-drop.
We are so glad we choose to hire a Say Cheese Photo Booth!
We served hot spiced wine at our reception, so we decided to get customized mugs as favors. The mugs we found at DiscountMugs.com were perfect! In fact, the mugs and the print job were so high quality, some guests didn’t realize the mugs were theirs to take. As we offered the mugs to guests at the reception and to other friends and family after the wedding, people got so excited. We never expected such great reactions.
DiscountMugs.com was the perfect choice. The mugs and printing are high quality, the prices are incredible, and the turn-around time was faster than we expected. We’re very pleased with the mugs we kept for us and with the excitement of our friends and family when we offered mugs to them.
Maris Malone Calderon came highly recommended, and I now understand why. She was the first and only recommendation from my photographer. When I visited her site, I found photos of the two brides that had really jumped out at me when I was looking at various photographers’ sites (each had a different photographer), and whose makeup I really liked. Finding their photos finalized my decision.
Maris did my makeup for our engagement photos and for the wedding. Before doing my makeup for the wedding, she looked through my engagement photos with me, so she could see how my makeup had turned out in pictures and to find out specifically what things I particularly liked and in what ways I wanted my wedding makeup to be different from the makeup for my engagements. This was all in addition to my consultation.
Maris also did the makeup for my sisters and my mom. All four of us looked beautiful. It was amazing to me that she could make us each look so much like ourselves and so natural, and yet, so beautiful.
We had a photo booth at the wedding. Photo booths are not known for making people look good; they’re lots of fun, but definitely not for portraits. However, my sisters and my mom each looked beautiful even in the photo booth pictures.
Maris is an incredible artist! Everyone always tells the bride she looks beautiful, but I was not prepared for the extremity and the sincerity of the compliments I received. I cannot wait to see the photos from the wedding, because I know, thanks to Maris, they will be beautiful.
I spent days searching invitation sites looking for the perfect stationary suite for our wedding, but nothing was right. Finally I stumbled upon Hello!Lucky, found my invitations, and fell in love. I was desperate for the entire suite, from the save-the-dates to the thank you card, which required me to do some rearranging in my budget, but it was worth it.
The day after we placed our initial order, Hello!Lucky announced a sale. It only took a short call with Hello!Lucky to get the sale applied to our order and the difference refunded. We placed several orders, and each person with whom we worked was so helpful. When we selected a place card from a different stationary suite, our rep pointed it out, to ensure it was not a mistake, before placing the order.
Everything we ordered from Hello!Lucky was so beautiful and perfectly set the tone for our perfect day. We received so many compliments on our invitations. (I didn’t know anyone ever complimented invitations…) I’m thrilled that the first impression for our wedding was set by Hello!Lucky.
We hired an antique limo from Antique Limousines of Austin for our departure. They allowed us to arrange for the limo to come early so that we could use the limo in some of our photographs, and then it returned to take us to our wedding night hotel.
Unlike many antique limos we researched, the limo from Antique Limousines of Austin was spacious, with plenty of leg room, even with my big dress. The driver was very courteous and professional and quite patient during the photo session.
Antique Limousines of Austin was the perfect finishing touch to a beautiful night.
A week before the wedding, I had still not managed to schedule anyone to do my hair. Everyone I researched or to whom I was referred was already booked, did not have the style I was looking for, or did not respond to emails or phone calls. When my sister arrived in town three days before the wedding, I immediately assigned her the task of finding someone to do my hair.
She found Misty at Two Wild Sisters’ Hair Studio. Misty squeezed me in for a next-day appointment for my trial, and my hair turned out perfectly. The only thing about which I was worried was that our appointments were for early morning, and the wedding was not until the evening. I expressed my concerns to Misty, and she suggested another way to achieve the same results, but that was much more long-lasting. It meant starting my appointment thirty minutes earlier. Misty was already coming in early to do my hair and both of my sisters’, but she immediately offered to start earlier to guarantee my hair was perfect throughout the wedding.
I don’t know how Misty did it. She finished our hair at 10:30 in the morning, and twelve hours later it was still perfect. I am so appreciative that she was willing to squeeze us into her schedule. Our hair was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I’m so glad my sister four Two Wild Sisters’ Hair Studio!
We met Martha and Kimberly at a bridal show and were immediately drawn to the uniqueness of their arrangements and to their vibrant personalities. I could not describe specifics of what I wanted – I was looking for something very specific, but I didn’t know what…I’d know it when I saw it. Martha was able to take my vague description of the general feel of the flowers I was wanting and created the most beautiful bouquets and centerpieces I have ever seen.
We were planning an outdoor wedding and became concerned about the stability of the tall centerpieces. Martha invited us for an additional meeting to brainstorm possible solutions and we settled upon an answer that satisfied us all. The morning of the wedding, it was windier than expected, so Martha did a complementary last-minute upgrade of our tallest centerpieces, to put them in the heaviest vases she had. She and Kimberly also sat through our ceremony, so that the centerpieces did not have to be sitting outdoors on tables any longer than necessary, just in case the wind returned.
Martha and Kimberly are true artists. The arrangements and bouquets they created were unbelievably beautiful and unique. Their flowers made such an impact and many guests commented on them. (My happily-single sister can’t wait to get married so that Martha can create her bouquet.) And as an added bonus, my flowers came in under budget. I highly, highly, highly recommend ParkCrest Floral Design!
After reading all the reviews, Amazing Kakes was the only baker with whom we scheduled a tasting, and after one taste, we were hooked. Amazing Kakes truly lives up to its name: our cake looked absolutely amazing, and it tasted even better.
Our cake was three layers (plus two more faux layers, for no additional cost), and each layer was a different flavor. Expecting a few people to get a second piece because of the different flavors, we ordered enough cake to feed 120 people, although we were only expecting 100. We ended up with just over 70 guests. Our guests kept going back for seconds and thirds, and we had no leftovers! Seventy people ate enough cake for 120! The only downside to having such a delicious cake is we had none to take home except the single piece of each flavor the venue saved for us.
Fortunately, Amazing Kakes will bake us a fresh cake for our first anniversary, complementary with the purchase of a wedding cake – no year-old, freezer-burned cake for us. We can’t wait!
