Patricia made me the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life! What a fun way to spend the last few hours before the cermony, sipping wind while having a lavender soak pedicure, massage, and then laters manicure and hair and make up done! She was incredible! Only minor detail, she is tucked back off the street, so was a little challenging to find, but when I called her on my cell she stayed on the phone and guided me directly to the shop!!! On of the best decisions I made having someone else take care of all these details! Highly recommned!
There is so much more to choosing a wedding DJ- it is not just spinning records (CD or digital stuff!) They are the master of cermony, they set the tone by reading the crowd, run the show and keep everything running smooth. Rankin was so great to work with. We needed alot of guidance! He was responsible for all the wedding music as well as the reception dinner party. He guided us through many choices and was also willing to work with a few quirkly things we requested to had some fun suprise elements to the wedding. He was perfect! Even the guests commented how great he was. It was one of the most fun wedding most had ever attending, and we owe a big part of that credit to Rankin and AZ musicman for keeping the party and fun going strong all night long! Thanks a million! Highly recommend
I was pleased with the information she had. Many things I had not thought of she gave great suggestions from a different perspective. I was not prepared for how tough it is anywhere to pick our flowers. You can see books and samples, but you almost go in blind only know the basic structions and types of floweres that will be used. Difficult to visual until seen! It is a challenge transporting flowers with destination weddings. We were doing the pick up delivery since it was two hours away. They were picked up at 7am drove to Sedona and used for a 5pm cermony. The flowers looked great for the wedding. There were a few bobbles however. Corsages were not wrist style but pin on- disappointing but no disaster. However flowers for the cake were not included as ordered. Lucklily there were a coupld extra flowers provided that were just enough to add a little elegance to the cake. It was simple, but added enough color and elegance to suffice. That was disappointing but I would not let anythign ruin my day. When I did discuss with the florist she was very apologetic and did refund a portion of the cost to help with the situation. So I give her credit, she worked with me to try and make some restituion. The flowers were beautiful as were the center pieces I rented from her.
I was unaware of many challenges surrounding a destination wedding, but all those concerns disappeared with Jill at the Poco Diablo resort working with me to create the perfect wedding day. Jill was amazing to work with, and was so responsive to my many, many questions. I lived only 2 hours away, but even that distance meant only one meeting prior to the wedding day. All other communication was done via email. Jill was always quick to respond to every question, usually within hours. She always had an answer or suggestion, and would also comfort me, and happily accepting any question I had. When the arrived at the resort the day before to set up, they were with us step by step, ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. IT WAS!! This was sun set ceremony and the grounds are so beautiful and romantic! The garden chairs where all set up with the floral spray hung on the gazebo situated below the grand weeping willow tree, near the pond, with red rocks jetting up behind the resort, and a beautiful sun setting the sky ablaze. We would not have changed a thing! Then the reception dinner held at the resort was equally fantastic. The food great, the staff so responsive, and the room was perfect! I can not say enough good things about Jill K. and the Poco Diablo resort. I highly recommend any bride to check them out and see for themselves! We would not have changed a thing about our wedding. Even our guests commented how beautiful this hidden gem was, how great the food was, how friendly everyone was. They were so very impressed and said they would suggest it to others for a great wedding location. Ironically we never knew about the Poco Diablo resort until I attended a friends wedding there a few years earlier. While Ron and I attended that wedding, reception and dinner at the resort, we both agreed if we ever got married this would be the place! We were just that impressed with everything. I tell you from the experience of being both a wedding guest in 2009 and as the bride to be in 2011 working closely with them in all the planning and details for my special day, Poco Diablo was the best decision we made! We could not be happier! Highly recommend!
