With the wedding held at Leo Carrillo Park in Carlsbad, barbecue was the perfect choice for our venue. Phils BBQ showed up on time and the food was ready at the requested time. We had chicken, salmon, baby back ribs and pork sliders with salads, beans, potato salad, corn bread and rolls. The food was delicious -- we received rave comments from our guests and given the way they went back for seconds--well, who could argue with that? Phils BBQ also coordinated the tables, chairs and tablecloths as well as the glassware. We were very pleased with Phils and would use them again.
The wedding cake, with a handmade peacock feather was lovely. The cupcakes (red velvet, chocolate and lemon) was amazingly delicious and delightful. The vendor arrived on time and did the set up--it looked fantastic!
Beautiful outdoor venue for the wedding. Bride's dressing room did need a working toilet installed, but that is about the only problem we had with the venue. The patio portion has been upgraded a couple of years back and provided a great setting for our reception and dancing. The peacocks around the ranch were happy to show off their beautiful plumage, which delighted the guests no end! The park staff arranged for us to bring our beverages by a couple of days before the wedding and they were locked in a storage shed. That saved us from having to make sure everything got there on time on the wedding day. The staff was cordial and easy to work with. Great venue!
