Franco is very talented and cares about his customers. He quickly became our favorite men's clothing designer. He and Angela, the Santana Row store manager, really do make it all about you. Franco pulled together Grant's accessories and made a few hundred dollars into something that looked like thousands of dollars. He also connected us with, Çhris, our first rate wedding photographer, only a couple of weeks before the wedding. He is definitely our most fashionable angel.
If I could give more stars I would. I will not mention the well-known New York wedding dress designer I originally ordered a wedding dress from with a rush delivery, but when I went to pick up my dress (the week I was told it would be ready) the dress was still in China. It was a beautiful dress and I am not mentioning the designer because I have no fault with him, only one of his employees. At the end of the day they gave me all my money back, something they had never done before. Starting from the beginning to look for a dress, only a few weeks before my wedding day, was a risk my gut told me to take. I turned to Angela and Susan at PL Bridal Boutique. The next day I went to their shop and they found my wedding dress for me. It was a never before worn size 12 and I am a size 2! Susan completely took apart the whole dress and custom made a new dress tailored to my preferences, in 4 days, and for half the price of the original dress! The details on this dress are amazing.
We went straight to the source and saved thousands of dollars. Yong Kim, the owner, designed this ring himself, meticulously worked with us to pick out the perfect stone and gave us a great deal.
The Los Gatos location was wonderful. Every time I called for online help I was very satisfied. However, store locations in NYC and Bethlehem, PA gave some of my guests a huge headache so I can only recommend ordering online or the Los Gatos location.
Chris is wonderful and our photos look amazing. He was a great help on our wedding day and very generous with his time and talents. I know 3 couples married 2-3 weekends before us who still don't have their photos- we had ours in a week. We highly recommend Good Eye.
The food was excellent and Angela, Lisa and Tim were always helpful and professional. They went above and beyond all the way.
Absolutely delicious! It was very important to us that our wedding cake was Fresh, fun and made with quality ingredients that tasted delicious. We didn't want a tower of ornate icing that tasted like cardboard. The red velvet Bundt with cream cheese frosting and chocolate chips was exactly what we wanted and the Bundlets and Bundtinis in various flavors gave everyone lots of choices. Brian and Katlyn were a pleasure to work with.
Overall a good experience. I liked working with Bill better than Jo ann but both were informative and professional. Somehow they forgot to deliver the silverware but our caterers saved the day and went to the OPA restaurant to borrow silverware for our wedding. We didn't even know all this until the end of the night. A Party Place apologized and said they would return the money for the undelivered items. The quality of the rental materials was good, especially the mahogany chairs. I opted to hit up an antique shop and buy some items rather than rent for better quality bang for buck. The deliver and pick up went smoothly.
My sister-in-law and I made the bouquets and centerpieces ourselves, but we started with beautiful, fresh picked, organic Dahlias and Dried lavender from Flora Organica Farm. Lisa, the owner was very helpful. Her daughter, Faye, also does arrangements and weddings in Humboldt County using Flora Organica flowers. We bought a whole Hydrangea plant from Green Thumb in Los Gatos for our arrangement and we are planting the rest of the plant in our yard so we can remake my bouquet every anniversary.
I had my make-up done and my mother had her hair done. My mother really should not have paid for what they did because it was awful. My Step father-in-law put it best "they really did not do your mom's hair justice with that do, she looked better before she went in." She went back to the hotel to fix it. My make-up looked really good in most of the photos except those taken immediately after the application, when the make-up looked caked on and scary to many of us. It did hold up really well throughout the night, and looked good in the photos, which is very important, so that is why I gave them 3 stars.
