All I can say is that the cake was AMAZING! We were able to pick four different layers that each had different flavors and every one was fantastic. Sarah also personally met with us and helped us design an absolutely gorgeous looking cake that matched our colors perfectly!
I highly recommend using Toast & Jam if you want to ensure EVERYONE at your wedding dances and have a good time! Our DJ Rachel was the absolute greatest and kept everyone on the dance floor from the start of the wedding right until the end. One other great thing about these guys - they don't play any of that cheesy, played out, typical wedding songs like Chicken Dance or YMCA!
With Grace is a small local shop located in Roscoe Village. They did our invitations as well as ceremony programs and place cards. Everything turned out gorgeous and we received so many compliments on everything. The owner Jen was so extremely helpful in designing everything we ordered and it was an absolute pleasure working with her.
So I will be honest to say that the sales people we worked with at Modern Image were not very good and did not always return phone calls or emails. What did make up for this was the photographer we worked with, Michael Litchfield. I have been in many weddings and he was one of the best photographers I have ever met! He was friendly and fun and just made everyone comfortable. And our pictures are absolutely AMAZING! I still can't get over how great the pictures turned out and I will owe it all to Michael.
This is a local salon and spa in Roscoe Village that did my hair and make-up. Tony did an amazing job on making my make-up look natural and not your typical caked on fake look that most brides have.
Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with this vendor. I do believe that have a day of coordinator is worth the money; however, it needs to be the right person doing it. I initially met with the owner who was amazing. She walked me through what they would do on the day of the wedding and asked all the right questions. I was extremely confident and happy to be working with her until she told me someone else would be there on my wedding day. Although I met the assistant that would be my day of coordinator and provided very specific requests/details/etc. for my wedding day, she was completely unorganized and not helpful. If it were not for my friends, my wedding day would have been a disaster! So although I would highly recommend having a day of coordinator, I would only use this company if you can be assured that the owner will be your planner and not her assistant.
