We had a last minute change a month before our rehearsal dinner...had to start from scratch to find venue and caterer. Creatif was excellent to deal with, they were straightforward and quick to meet with me. Everything was done just as we were told, exactly as promised. Very refreshing, especially in such a pinch!
(Originally a friend recommended me because she used Creatif for her reception...glad I knew a place to call, and that it turned out so well!)
Steve was our DJ and was fantastic! He is easy-going and provided leadership/guidance for the flow of the evening and smooth transitions during the entire reception. We had tons of people tell us how much they liked him and how good he was!
He met with us before the reception to go over the song lists, and asked for a list of other songs we wanted so he'd have an idea of they way we wanted to evening to go. He had a perfect mixture of slow and upbeat songs and got people moving. We even have some pictures of him dancing with us on the dance floor, showing how much he enjoys himself and puts himself into the event!
Mark was very knowledgeable about flowers and knew exactly what I was wanting after showing him a few pictures and telling him specific flowers. I knew I wanted specific flowers but I wasn't sure how they would combine or if they would look good together. He was able to articulate for me what I wanted. The flowers were beautiful and delivered a few minutes before the time they were promised and held up very well (Mark steered me away of a few flowers for the men due to their delicate nature and helped me find a type to my liking since I could not get the ones I wanted--well, I could, but they would have fallen apart...)
Mark was also very, very flexible in that I ended up eliminating all my bridesmaids bouquets from the order (we ended up finding beautiful artificial flowers that we hand-tied ourselves) and we changed the men's flowers repeatedly. He also ordered us bunches of flowers for us to make our centerpieces (he offered to make them for us, but we were just using the flowers to float in water so it was easy for us to do on our own).
Mark also worked very well within our budget. Based on what I had been told by previous florists, I thought I was wasting both my time and Mark's by meeting with him because everything in his shop is so great looking and his flowers are unique--I assumed he'd be more expensive than the "regular" typical florists I had already met with. Turns out he's very down to earth and so knowledgeable about flowers that he was able to tell me right away which flowers we could use to capture my style and still include a few "extra cool" flowers yet remain within my budget. It was really refreshing!
Max was fantastic to work with! I'd give him 5+ stars!!!
Ironically, my first choice for photographer was snatched our from under us (the day we called to book after our meeting, someone else had just booked our date without having a meeting...), and I was very disappointed. My now-husband was particularly picky when I showed him examples of photographers I found. He didn't like ANY of them! One he did like from Cincinnati refused to meet us half-way between Cinci and Dayton. My husband and I felt that if someone couldn't bother to meet us 30 minutes away to try to earn our business, what kind of service would he give us on our wedding day? If we are willing to pay thousands of dollars for one day, we felt like going a little bit out of his way wasn't much to ask.
So.....we came across Max!
My mom always said that thing happen for a reason...well, I'm so happy to say that I am glad my first photographer was unavailable!
Max met us at our convenience and even offered to meet us near our home (even though we weren't too far from him). He emailed almost immediately in response to my initial inquiry. He was very timely, great at following up/through, did what he said he would do and when he said he would do it, and was extremely professional and straightforward with us, which was very refreshing. Our big thing was that we wanted our image files. He gives them to clients in their package, and they are in a larger format than most photographers.
Max has many packages set up and was able to explain the advantages of each. For our package an engagement session was included, as well as a reception slide show and live photo booth. Both were HUGE hits at our reception!
We also wanted to have our pictures taken at a different location before the ceremony, and he was totally fine with that. Very flexible and got many pictures in a rather different setting.
We also had him video our wedding...I had 2 friends tell me that they regretted not videoing their wedding. I didn't think one way or another about it....until after I saw our video!!! OMG! I cried when I watched it, it was soooo incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The images were uploaded to our secure site within a few days of our wedding and looked great! Within a couple of weeks of our wedding Max dropped off our image and video DVDs. We haven't ordered prints/albums yet, but we are sure they will be superb like everything else.
Max was refreshing to work with and has a good sense of humor and offers excellent service and value. Some photographers seemed full of themselves and do the same things everyone else does, including charging outrageous fees for each portion of their services. Max is a breath of fresh air--he does a super job and delivers super quality and goes all out--we could tell he was there to make sure we had great images to remember our day. (Also, we could hardly tell they were around during the ceremony and reception--but they got pictures of almost everything!)

Max was great! Good sense of humor coupled with calmness to make us at ease on our big day! Bridal party loved him and crew, and friends and family loved seeing the slide show at the reception. Max is totally professional all around, especially in that he did what he said he would and when he said he'd do it. Sooo refreshing to be able to count on someone to be extremely reliable--especially for this important occasion. Images and video are FANTASTIC and turnaround was really fast. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
Unique style and totally accommodating to work with--Mark instantly "got" what look I was going for and was straightforward about which flowers would work best and gave alternative suggestions (I had multiple flowers I wanted, some would not have worked/been available, etc.)
