I loved Nicole's work. She made me look like a million bucks. I opted for the airbrush makeup and ladies, let me tell you, it is worth it! My face stayed from 12:00 PM til 1:00 AM and I still looked put together - even after hours of sweaty summer wedding dancing! It was so impressed. Nicole is calm, and funny, and immediately you are put at ease. Big high five for Nicole!
Tom from Sounds Good DJ was incredible. He had the guests dancing all night! His website is excellent and allows you to create huge playlists of songs up to one year before your event and save your progress as you go. He took personal care to make sure everything went smoothly. His music collection is massive! It was extremely easy to work with Tom and I highly recommend him.
Nicole was excellent. She was very helpful in the planning process, keeping me posted with checklists. During our meetings, she was helpful in mentioning things that I hadn't even thought about! And whenever possible, she took care of it herself which was a huge relief. The day of the wedding is where she really shined - if there were problems, not one of them came to me. She quietly took care of it all and made the day progress smoothly and efficiently. I highly recommend her services. She was totally on every moment that happened during our wedding day, which allowed my husband and I to just have a good time - and everyone else too! Nicole is relatively new and her website is under construction, so please email her if you are interested. I highly recommend her.
If I could give them 12 stars, I would! Wow, what incredible work they do at this studio. Our photographers were Josh and his assistant Gord, and they were absolutely wonderful to work with! They would traipse anywhere with you to get the right photo. Josh moved effortlessly through the day - and the crowds! Everyone felt comfortable with them around and they caught some really special moments that I hadn't expected. Plus, they have GREAT ideas for photos! They're fun, and they make you look damn good in those photos. :) I'm overjoyed with this studio.
Delicious food at great prices. The food was fresh and prepared on time. We had very positive interactions with the owners and they were quick to help with any questions or special requests we had. The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is a comment on the serving staff who served the food at our wedding. I believe they use students, which is fine, but the staff was unpleasant, somewhat unkempt in appearance, and couldn't really manage a smile even when myself and my husband approached for our dinner. That was a bit of a downer. But food quality was exceptional and the prices quite fair.
If I could take away that one star, I would! The service was shameful at this location. We ordered ties and pocket squares and it tooks more than 3 weeks to come in - they have NO system for tracking what you have ordered, what you have already paid, and how to contact you. It was incredible how mismanaged this location was. They ended up greatly overcharging us - only by really pushing did WE discover the mistake - and they made no effort to apologize or try to make right by it. In an effort, I imagine, to make light of the situation, the manager Scott made a few sexist comments to myself and my husband. It was unbelievable. A warning to other brides and grooms: until they implement some sort of real ordering/tracking system, DO NOT go here. Go to Freeman's just a couple stores down. They were excellent.
