Jason Selland did an excellent job at our reception. During the planning stages he did a great job of keeping in touch with me. He played all of the music just as we requested it and took last minute requests from our guests. His emcee skills helped the reception flow and all of our guests loved him. His prices are awesome as well. Check him out for sure.
We ordered a buffet and they delivered an all you can eat! We had so much food left over. We were able to completely customize our menu for a great price. They just charge a flat per person price; none of the extra fees that most caterers add on. The only reason they get four stars is because they were late getting to our reception. Also, we had arranged a set day and time to return the chaffing dishes but I kept getting phone calls from various employees wanting to know when the dishes would be returned. In the end, I definitely recommend Hy Vee for catering.
At first I really liked Scott May. He had the best tasting cake at the bridal fair and did a great job answering my questions and offering ideas. However, he ended up violating his own contract and delivered a cake with fondant when we ordered butter cream. The cake tasted great and looked nice though. My advice is if you hire him just make sure you stay on top of things with him to ensure he keeps his promises and delivers what you ordered.
We had absolutely no problems in the planning. It was raining the day we were scheduled to do our Vegas Strip Photo Tour and Tiffany had no problem rescheduling so that we could get better pictures. She was fast and efficiant and took awesome pics.
Ingrid was my wedding planner but everyone at the Flamingo was wonderful to work with. The week before my wedding I was freaking out about some of the details and Ingrid was great about calling me and emailing with all the information I needed to calm my fears. She was able to reassure me that everything would go as planned. My guests were really impressed with the Gazebo Chapel. And I absolutely loved the officiant.
Creekside at Berryton is just a few blocks outside of Topeka city limits. It is truly a hidden jem! The grounds are beautiful, the buildings are beautiful and it's very cost effective. I deffinitely recommendn this place.
The rooms were a good deal and our maid Connie was awesome! She went out of her way for us and was always so pleasant. The cocktail waitresses in the casino were the best on the strip in my opinion, as was the Carnival Court bar. Food prices were average and the marketing manager got on our nerves a bit. But, we would definitely stay there again.
